Epic rant Cyn. It opened in the UK yesterday, I chose to see A Different Man instead. I will see this, but have to prepare myself for it, not expecting to enjoy it. I wasn't a huge fan of the first film in honesty, perhaps this will hit differently for me.

I understand you perfectly. I had similar feelings when I watched The Matrix Reloaded. I didn't even try to watch the third part. For me, there is only one, the original Matrix from 1999. Thanks for this review. You saved me time and money, although looking at the current trends in Hollywood I probably wouldn't go anyway.

One of the main reasons why movies are dying last years is that Hollywood is busy doing the bad as good and the good as bad. It's a fatal fail.

This was destined to be a disaster, I just didn’t expect it to be this bad 🫣😂 also! Mrs IMO completely agrees! She hated Lady Gaga in American Horror story 😂

I don't think i have ever seen anyone as disappointed in a film as you seem in this video, part of me finds it amusing but mostly i just want to assure you that you will recover in due course and i am sending you a hug all the way from the UK . Out of all the bad reviews that I’ve watched this might be the worst one. It sounds like it was torture for you to sit through this one. I’m definitely not seeing this in the theater. It sounds like a waste of time.

I was hoping that this would be just good enough or intriguing enough to warrant the time. As it is, the only positive(ish) review I've come across was from British professional critic Mark Kermode, who I used to like but sadly realised a while back was actually a bit of a twat. Have to agree that a sequel is entirely superfluous but, given that, it seems like there was so much potential for doing something dramatically good with it that this looks like a $200M pile of whale shit by meagre comparison. I'll probably 'have' to watch it somewhere down the line - I just hope now that it doesn't soil my love for the original. Thanks for the most expressively frustrated review on the internet!

He was guilty on all 3 counts... he would have been killed any way. I felt totally engaged in the movie and I've seen more movies than anyone I've known all my life... sometimes. morning till night... I also love musicals ... old and new. You have a. cool accent but you're saying the wrong things. The music that Arthur felt and imagined and sang were intensely beautiful and "standards" something before your time but tried and true melodic melodies that are extremely famous with and without original singers, except when Lee and Joker sang them, and were all wonderful! The movie was both fantasy and reality, mixed with precision. This film was artsy and amazing and it hit the mark. Stick to what you know.... Netflix horrors and empty stories that please the dumbed down masses.

I definitely didn't! I was so gobsmacked at how awful it was that I could barely form coherent thoughts! lol I'm glad you could enjoy it, at least! I'm not sure how a third one could be accomplished, given what happened to him at the end. Unless you're referring to it centering around Harley? At any rate, given how poorly this went over with audiences and how much money it's going to lose, I doubt there will be another sequel forthcoming. I get the feeling the director didn't even really want to do this one!

1) Arthur Fleck was too weak and whiny and not intelligent enough to be the actual Joker. 2) The arc of the movie was not bad. Let's get rid of this loser, so the real Joker can come forth 3) ...forget the musical 4) ...forget Lady Gaga. She's average looking and slightly corpulent 5) Many women have hybristophilia (attracted to violent men). It is on a continuum between spanking and serial killers. A man must be able to handle situations. 6) Typically, women don't love men for interests, morality, ethics.... just what they accomplish. In this case, fame & violence. 7) Doppelgangers... if you're going to have a psycho girl, then don't make her Harley Quinn, since Arthur Fleck was not the Joker. There are plenty of women with hybristophilia.
