He brought a voice to thoughts we all have but are too afraid to even admit it to ourselves. It's all fantasy. DMX is definitely NOT for everyone.

This is my 1st time seeing one of y'all videos, I came across it looking for a video of the acoustic version, but I gotta say, I absolutely love this song. It's one of those songs that gives me chills when I hear it, gets me deep in the feels.

I get that people have different tastes, and I respect that. But I’ll never understand so-called 'fans' who get upset when a band evolves, changes, or experiments with their sound. Imagine being stuck doing the exact same thing for decades just to keep a portion of your audience happy. That sounds like creative torture.

On REIGN IN BLOOD album by slayer, There's a song entitled ANGEL OF DEATH. There's a line in which bassist and singer Tom Araya says: "SICKENING WAYS TO ACHIEVE THE HOLOCAUST". Yeah man, the 80s and 90s were a whole different era of hip hop and metal. The REIGN IN BLOOD album Was released on the hip hop label DEF JAM RECORDS Because That album was considered too controversial, dark, sick and extreme even for heavy metal labels at the time because slayer was accused of being NEO NAZIS, So the metal labels then were under pressure not to release it. Most hardcore metal bands and label s during the 80s, were already catching a lot of flack for being satanic, Nihilistic and misleading youth. So they back off from it.

Bassist Tom Araya of slayer during the 80s, used to wear a shirt on stage at his concerts that read: SEX, RAPE, MURDER. Bands would not be able to even get a record deal if they did that today.

Sorry coming in late. As much as I have alot of respect for Bone and I grew up listening to their music , I respect your guys reaction to your introduction to them. "Tha Crossroads" is a product of when they transitioned to a more religious r&b tone . Which any die hard bone fan would know they started out ....well its hard for me to label but the closest I can would be to say more of a "horror-core" hard-core gangsta rap tone. They literally have a chanting song praying to a quija board asking if they would die by murder. But they keep the same melody and flow they originated as. I would recommend to the haters to realize bone is not for everyone and to keep an open mind for others what something so unique might sound to them . Cheers .

This is a lot to digest for their first listen...3000 is top tier, Andre compliments him perfectly....their mixes and beats were so fresh and clean. I miss them. I was lucky enough to be a teen in the 90s when these guys were coming up.

Paul tried to do the guitar solo with how he thought George would have done it, but admitted no one can fully replicate George's style as it was his alone. Peter Jackson truly put together a miracle both the song and the video.

Lol .. The song went #1 on the rap hot charts ... (half million copies sold - went gold) ... Here's a live performance .. A Tribe Called Quest with Brand New Heavies - Check The Rhyme (YO! MTV Raps Spring Break 1992) kzbin.info/www/bejne/f6XRpKSAp6uonMksi=s9MdPyOWXfPVlBlA (to be perform in a Coffee Shop Lol) You know how big MTV Spring Break was {Every College kid was at that location}... Memories of the 1st time I heard "Check The Rhime" was in Kingston Jamaica (1991) at an uptown session (party) on big sound system -- blew me away how great it sounded (Loved it) ... Respect to you guy for listening to music that was my life in the 90's (still listening to ATCQ , De La Soul & Digiable Planets in 2024)

So, I'm going to go out on a limb and guess these guys studied music theory in college. It just feels like every music theory major I've ever met or seen on the internet never actually enjoys the things they listen to. The curse of knowing too much about the medium you once loved, I guess. I will gladly stay hopelessly ignorant enough to think that Bone thugz is still excellent music. lmfao! Thanks for the reaction boys!

They use the Supreme Alphabet & Supreme Mathematics in their songs. Which comes from the Nation of Gods & Earths aka 5%ers. It’s a group that was created by Clarence 13X after he had a falling out with the Nation of Islam. See = C Cypher = O or 0 C.O. Is the abbreviation for corrections officer. He’s saying that that the corrections officers couldn’t hold them & calling them punks.
