There is so much depth and growth surrounding DMX and his duality. This is one of the worst cases of DMX explaining the Demon in the street in depth. He has songs that are almost prayers and humanly hopeful. Pick any other song from this or any other album. Super talented artist.

I would like to see their reaction to the first and second Damien song even though he has a third but those two are it when speaking of the duality. So many gems 💎 in those 2 before he breaks away from the 😈 in the 3rd Damien.

Most ppl dont know how evil this dude was in his twenties, He was probably the most dangerous Pimp to ever exist in NY. The whole city was terrified of him. No one dared to backtalk this dude but he was the realest mf out there who truly were honest about who he was and who he was trying to be, Only a few of those exist Redman Pac BIG. I grew up on the street myself I know how fast you can become evil around gangs and crime, X tried to change his ways many times, Addiction can get ugly on heroin having such a open mind like X while being on H is extremely, I have seen one man having such a strong will as he had in 25yrs. Such a shame the drugs ruined him, Men like X and Pac could have changed so much with the right ppl leading them. I have listened to him since the 90`s..He will always be a hero to me, Hope you`re finally at peace now. R.I.P X You will never be forgotten

DMX was not a Pimp. He robbed you with his pit bull. I wouldn't call him evil. He had bad attributes. He didn't commit genocide that's evil. He was his own victim. However, I am not excusing him for the bad stuff in his life. He died at age 50. People change .Unless you murder someone in your 20s, then people have evolved. He got his biography when he was on top.

On REIGN IN BLOOD album by slayer, There's a song entitled ANGEL OF DEATH. There's a line in which bassist and singer Tom Araya says: "SICKENING WAYS TO ACHIEVE THE HOLOCAUST". Yeah man, the 80s and 90s were a whole different era of hip hop and metal. The REIGN IN BLOOD album Was released on the hip hop label DEF JAM RECORDS Because That album was considered too controversial, dark, sick and extreme even for heavy metal labels at the time because slayer was accused of being NEO NAZIS, So the metal labels then were under pressure not to release it. Most hardcore metal bands and label s during the 80s, were already catching a lot of flack for being satanic, Nihilistic and misleading youth. So they back off from it.
