Our GR does most of this things. One thing he never does is eat his own poop. He pooped and takes off right away. We no longer has to take him out to poop he let us know when he needs to go we let him out he comes back 15 mins later lol. This 1 year old boy loves being on the couch with us. I am his favorite aside from my husband and daughter. He is very attached to me ❤

a elderly couple in my apt building has a golden retiever and a german shepard,the golden let me pet her right away while the shepard was skiddish of me didnt let me pet him,then i put more attention torwards the golden,shepard nipped at me,then it let me pet him

When compared to my last dog that was a labany my new golden retriever is a goofy zmb zass that doesnt listen. Ngl i kinda regret getting one.

We are awaiting our fourth golden puppy. Thank you for reminding me to check through our supplies. I would add puppy gates and a LIGHT house line to the list. Too much freedom, too soon can lead to bad habits. The house line allows you to “talk” to your pup before they chew up the furniture. Loving your videos!

My son’s golden does all these things with me whenever I visit or they come over to our house. She gets jealous whenever she sees me pet our dog, comes over and puts her head under my arm and lifts it off and makes me pet her.

My 3 year golden was well socialised. He was very good with children too. But off late he is skittish around small children. Those who are at his eye level. He is fine with older children but younger ones, he is not comfortable any more.

Goldens are beautiful with their coat what gives away their traits. Never understand whay people shaved their coat. my GR cuddles when he feels like it lol all he wants is to do is play none stop. Yes very smart breed.

We have a field GR not what we want to fit our lifestyle but he was given to us for free. Yes he is highly energetic wants to play all the time he loves his walks. We both work full time show GR would fit best for us. But we love him very much regardless he brings laughters and joy in our lives. A very smart GR.

you i learnt this from my breeder who i got my golden from, you shouldn’t neuter/spay the puppies until they are fully grown (roughly 1 year or older) as the hormones are what tells their body when to stop growing so if you neuter them to earlier it means their body doesn’t know when to stop growing so if

I'm a black lab mom and she is absolutly perfect. So kind with everybody, very smart and she listens quite well. Only thing is that they always need to do something, being entertained.

Zoe my comfort dog was a rescue who passed at 16 years and 2 weeks..my first golden also made it to 16. Best dogs for families. RIP

I just adopted a 3 year old golden…she is such a sweet dog…expensive yes…priceless also yes. 😂🤣. So glad I can give her a home…in a very short period of time…she owns me, but she takes good care of me 🥰

You can't go wrong with either breed. Even though they were bred in two different places they sure seem to be close cousins.

Dad had a lab in the 70s that had failed out of the rigorous training of legendary" The Seeing Eye . It was a great dog , but not top 1% . 100s of game were harvested with good old Black Bear .
