Some useful ideas…thank you. My vet told me that it’s not a good idea to feed dry kibble as it swells up in their stomach and can cause problems with digestion. So for 30 years and four retrievers I’ve always soaked it in water for a few hours before mealtimes (not too mushy). What’s your view?🇬🇧

I think you mean golden retriever OWNER not "parent". A parent is a person who is biological father or mother or acts as one to a human child. Dogs are pets NOT humans.

@@conormorgan9125 Language is important - it was giving up control of the English language to evil Marxists from the Frankfurt School of PC that has enabled so many crazy disproven ideological theories and immoral behaviours to flourish in the West. I just find it sinister that many of the same people who will humanise dogs calling dogs as "boy", bitches as "girl", a puppy as a "baby" and call the owner a "parent" and write death threats and comments describing how they would punish a person they found out had tortured or killed a puppy yet then be happy to de-humanise actual babies, boys and girls calling them a "fetus" and celebrate baby-murder which involves torturing a human being by either bathing the unborn baby in acid, or chopping him or her up at each joint one piece at a time to extract that piece into a dish - hands, elbows, shoulders, feet, knees, hip, and then once the body has been reconstructed in the dish the murderer forces a hollow pipe into the skull to suck out the baby's brains before decapitation and extraction. Then the body is sold for scientific research to manufacture biological weapons such as that Fauci & Obama sponsored the CCP socialists in the Wuhan Lab to do that killed so many millions globally, and continue to sponsor more bio-weapon research in Ukraine. To call men who merely "identify" as women and vice versa, or need anyone to tell you in the English language what pronouns you should use when their biological nature is evident is playing alone with Marxist (Gender Theory) Ideology - it is the slippery road down the path that Germany took under Hitler's Socialists and Russia took under Lenin and Stalin. Therefore I do believe we should take care to maintain the correct usage of our beautiful English language.

TLDR you are wrong. The right answer is puppies and not children, you are their parent when their mother dog or father dog is not around. Most dogs are kids until 6-12 months, different breeds can age faster or slower. Parent does not mean human child. Parent means you are the parent of a child, whether that is human or not. We don’t call baby animals as children or kids, we call them puppies for dogs or kittens for cats.

@@C0d0ps Keep taking your pills and attending your psychiatrist. For those not insane the correct definition of a parent is a PERSON'S father or mother (noun). Where the word is used as a verb it means "to be or act as a parent to a CHILD. The definition of a child is 'a young human being below the age of puberty or below the legal age of majority.' Both definitions taken from the Oxford English Language Dictionary. Puppies are NOT children and children are NOT puppies! You OWN a dog, you are NOT their parent and they can not be your child! If you think you are then you really are pathologically insane.

@@eddesa5134 I never said puppies are children. I said you are the parent when you adopt a puppy from its animal parents. Learn to read. Children and puppies both need a parents, neither of them need human parents. It is just much easier for them to teach their own species. I don’t visit a psychiatrist or need to treat a medical disorder with meds. Unlike I am not I am not unhinged, and I don’t lash out at vague definitions, I also don’t lash out against strangers on KZbin. Maybe you need a psychiatrist to control your anger. Anger and pathological insanity is not comparable. Why you think this I don’t know, you don’t sound very smart to me. Average intelligence or lower, most likely lower intelligence. Feel free to go visit Oxford dictionary and look up insanity, nowhere does it say “I am a parent to these animals”. By definition when you adopt something from its parents you take over the parental role. Aka when you adopt an animal, you become their parents. Why you don’t know understand this idk, maybe go to school more. Either you are a child or just ignorant. You need to expand your mind, both intelligence (iq) and emotional (eq).
