I have the Londsome Dove issue of this carbine. When I bought it I didn’t realize I had bought a limited edition version. I shoot the crap out of it. Mine has a brass finger rest and the exact same screw was loose on mine. At least I think we are talking about the same screw. It’s my absolute favorite squirrel and rabbit gun. It never ceases to amaze me how many rubber neckers I get when I shoot this little guy at the range. I will say, if you’re shooting magnums. The barrel can get a little warm if you shoot it quickly. Not that you can shoot a single action revolver very fast. Overall though. It’s a fun little piece to shoot. I can personally attest to the cylinder gap burn. I decided to try holding it with my hand in front of the cylinder on the barrel. I put on a heavy weight long welding glove and fired it several times. I didn’t receive any wounds or anything. Yet the glove was a bit singed and it was covered with small black flecks and a few small pieces of lead. So yeah, keep your hand behind the cylinder. It should also be noted that I have no issues letting my 10 year old grandson shooting it. I just make sure he is carefully observed and is safe about how he shoots it. The carbine itself is in no way unsafe to shoot. Provided you do your part as far as safety is concerned. In fact I’m seriously considering buying one for him for his Christmas present in 2025.

I like your accent, as a fellow southerner I’m just curious where you’re from? You do great reviews and I enjoy your channel. I’m trying to decide between Ruger and Springfield but I’ve heard good things about TISAS.

Nice review. I bought one at a great price over the summer ($219 after rebate). Got to range a couple of months back, put three boxes of Federal standard round 30 Super Carry through it, and worked perfectly. It functions and performs just as you said. Appreciate the video.

I bought 4 Shield Pluses, 1 in 9mm and 3 in 30 Super Carry. I know the ammo in 30 SC is higher than 9mm. However if you search the net long enough you'll stumble across great deals and can stock up. Recently Palmetto State Armory had the Remington 100 grain fmj in the 50 round box for 12.99! I bought a ton of it before the sale was over.

The Tisas 1911a1 is closer to a ww2 1911a1. It has a ceracote finish that closely resembles the gray parkerization on the original. It also correctly has cutouts on frame behind trigger...the Cimarron does not. The Cimarron has a scalloped ejection port which is not correct.....but it has a flat unbeveled magazine well which is correct. The Tisas has more correct plastic grips, and a rounded grooved mainspring housing. Overall, the Tisas looks very much like the 1911a1 I was issued in the Army.

Thank you for a great video on a great piece of history. I'm 72 and remember the good old days at Sears store. I picked one of these shotguns up in 12 gauge and it works like new. real walnut stock got a new recoil pad, an exact replacement from numirc arms....spelling may be wrong but what a place and all the gun schematics and parts. Also got the little screw that is the bolt stop. Link for some sears shotguns, there is lots of information out there, rifles at another place. I think lots of channels have covered the M&P, and the striker fires are flooding the market with lots of better options for less money, but that Stingray is a looker and well priced! I just bought my first 1911, a Tisas B9R DS 9mm carry. That model is optic ready and the slide should go right on that Stingray, if someone wanted a RMSc footprint dot. My Tisas is mu favorite gun to shoot, but as a double stack, the grip is big for my wife. I want another Tisas in single stack that she'll enjoy. Some side by side range footage would be a nice addition to your video, but good content! Thank you!

I'm not aiming that high for my 1st. I'm interested in the B9R (I think), but would like the extra capacity. Settled on 9mm, since I already have some ammo, but there's just something about it being all steel.

I have owned both. The Cimarron is more of a mutt, with some A1 features and some features pre-A1, like the lack of frame scallops behind the trigger. I don't like the curvature of that area of the frame, either. Also, the frame is cast, not forged like the Tisas. The Tisas is more of an accurate early WW2 1911A1 when some of the pistols (e.g., Remington Rand) still had the wide Colt hammers installed instead of the later skinnier WW2 hammers. Both pistols shoot very accurately and reliably. As a historical design purist, I go with the Tisas.

I have shot hundreds of rounds through mine with absolutely NO ISSUES. Yes the TRIGGER is DIFFERENT but I have had no issue with it. My OPINION buy a 12 round magazine and put a Magazine Plate Finger Grip Extension Smith & Wesson CSX 12 Round on it. This made mine feel sturdy while shooting.
