If he is ELITE than how are the Rangers going to pay him? An entry level deal? Really? Igor wants 12 million... We'll see how much BOB commands. BOB and IGOR are the two Best Goalies in the NHL and therefore in the world! 12M is not ouit of the question despite what some Ranger fans believe. Forget IGOR siging for $8M! Some team out there will pay him that $12M.

The scouting & drafting under Drury has been excellent compared to the disaster that was Gorton & Clarke. There is no place for Othmann to go except to replace Kakko. I'd rather see him with Kreids & Smith in Kakko's spot. Mancini(drafted 159th!) is so good in the D-zone, especially on the boards where hockey games are won. He's definitely of NHL caliber, but a year in Hartford & maybe a mid season callup wouldn't hurt.

I've learned over the decades preseason is irrelevant, look at last year rangers had an abysmal preseason we won the PT . I do think Othman is ready though , hopefully he grabs a spot on the roster and gets a chance to prove himself.

It's going to be a good year. Playing the right way in the preseason is a great sign, especially because outside of Kreider being a beast, it's been the newcomers and depth guys that have shined. Zac Jones, Mancini, Othmann, Chytil, Edstrom, Rempe, Brodz have all been exceptional.

Rempe and Edstrom are freight trains. They need to be on our 4th line to start the season. I could see Edstrom up on the 3rd as well if needed. Rempe has a chance to go down as a Ranger legend. I am very excited to see that he has taken the opportunity seriously. He looked great all night. Maybe the only guy that had a complete game start to finish.

Edstrom, Rempe, Chytil, Trouba, Jones and Berard: carried all the energy and good play; till Kreider and ZBad finally woke up, at the last few minutes.

The Rangers looked like they were on Sominex in the second period, but the third was a blast. The Harper-Ruhwedel combo was atrocious & losing puck battles in the D-zone is a recurring problem with our squad. How do you keep Edstrom off this team? He continues to impress & seems to have a high hockey IQ. He's got good hands & is a weapon in front of the net. I see him as the third line RW over Kakko(I wish they would FN trade him for a good D prospect & a 3rd or 4th rounder). Othmann, Edstrom & Rempe bring the physicality that makes the Rangers a much better team. I see Rempe on the 4th line. I can't imagine Chytil makes it far without getting injured. He needs to learn to keep his head up. Really good player who appears to be quite fragile. At this point. I can't see a spot for Othmann, but I think he would be a great fit with Z&K, but its not going to happen.

Lets not forget last year the Rangers preseason was anything but frustrating to watch a team heading the wrong way so remember this is PRESEASON a time in the season to get ready. hire or fire even trade. They look good but not that great. I do like the big boys line of Rempe and Adam Edstrom. Lets see what the final selection will be for opening night

But the organization can not possibly give him a 12 15 mil, long term contract: while having the Cap Space to address the defensive issues, and lack of tenacity, strength and physicality on the top six Forwards lines. They'll be putting themselves in the same Cap Hell, as they did with Lundqvist. Bobrovsky is 36 years old. He was been playing in this league: for 14 years; at mostly a very high level. Igor has four full seasons, and 12 games ( back in 2019-20): under his belt. It's absurd that he should even be considered for more than 8.6 mil, with a 2-3 year term, right now. He'll make 6.6 mil in cash, this season. Cap hit 5.6 mil. Plus he received a 3 mil signing bonus, on his current contract. And I have to be honest. Personal opinion: no more than 8 mil per year ( 2-3) years; with another 3 mil signing bonus. His career earnings: 18.5 mil....for four full NHL seasons. Igor: 213 Regulation Season Games. 44 Post Season Games. Bobrovsky: 700 career Regulation Season Games. 94 Playoff Games. Give me a break.

Who you gonna sign instead? Igor is like Henrik or Mike Richter a franchise goalie like Patrick Roy or Brodeur means a lot when you’re fighting for a cup run year after year. Pay the guy !! Like you said moving Trouba and saving money on a defenseman makes more sense. Give the kids a chance to prove themselves… The Rangers have a lot of holes in their backend they don’t need to worry about who to put between the pipes.

You can't let one player on a team dictate how you build the team. Let him walk if he gets too crazy. I hope Igor is reasonable and will settle for 9-10 mil. If he cares about winning the cup he would do that. 9-10 mil is a great living.

Mancini and chytil looked amazing, chytil and kakko played amazing together, same with cullye, they were a great line, Mancini could be on the team next season if they don’t resign lindgren cause he made no noticeable mistakes, otthman Rempe and brodzinski will prolly fight for the last spot

Undefeated, baby!!!! I'd keep throwing Garand out there. Let him win every game and put Igor on notice, that we don't need him and he should take less money. Joking. Chytil looks great. It's cool to see him driving the play on his own. If he can have a break out season, and we get an average season from Kakko (40 pts) we are going to be dangerous.

Chytil looked terrific out there. Let's pray he stays healthy. Every time I see Mancini, I see a future NHLer. Othmann is the real deal. His physicality is just what the Rangers need. Great shot too!

Kakko has been a total flop for a no. one pick. He has not improved over the years, it time to get rid of him.

Kakko has a make-or-break year in NY. Kakko has lacked in confidence, and you see that clear as day when he scores a goal, it more looks like he is relieved, rather than happy or excited. I hope Kakko can have a good year, but even I am skeptical at this point. Kakko would probably do the best in a rebuilding squad with no pressure where he can get a 1st line 1PP role immediately.

Likely Trouba's last year but not the entire core. I see Mancini moving in maybe next year. Damn, I wanted to see Rangers trade Kakko for Podkolzin, but instead the Oilers got him. Very astute move by the Oilers! Podkolzin can be an elite player.

That lines mollie sent was just from practice, bound to change. Just bc players are still under contract after this year doesn’t mean they wouldn’t get traded. If we don’t win the cup this year expect some key vets to be on there way out. Prioritize the young guys (Laf, Chytil, Othmann, Perreault, Laba, Cuylle, Berard, Miller, Fox, Schneider, Igor) move on from Mika, let Panarin walk the year after. Move on from Trouba
