Delighted this trade didn't go through... "and future assets, including a first round pick" Stop trying to trade away our future!

This video is certainly a from a Rangers fans perspective. Not a fan of either team. I can see why the Canucks balked at a protected 1st. That's essentially the only (potential) guarantee their getting. I like Chytil, but he is made of glass and essentially just missed a season due to a concussion. Lingren could walk after the season. For the Rangers Miller is without question the best player in the deal. To compare him and Chtytil is laughable. Miller comes with baggage. IMO both teams dodged a bullet. If the deal went down with an unconditional first, I suspect both teams win short term and Vancouver potentially wins long term. To think the Rangers gave away Miller to TB. Drury looks foolish on this deal and the Kakko deal.

i know Chytil's injury issues are a legit concern every time he takes the ice. but it tells you all you need to know about Drury that he nearly trade Chytil away for JT Miller. Why are we so high on JT Miller? He's never finished a contract for major contenders. We trade him to Tampa because he was becoming a problem. Tampa signs him to 5 years, trades him. Vancouver signs him to 7 years and now want to move him. We trade for him and we give up a young player for a guy is under contract til 2030. So now you have Mika and JT who are in their 30s well into decline and JT Miller is a buyout waiting to happen. Trade the UFAs. Move Kreider by the trade deadline and try and move Mika in the summer. You clear cap space and and make room for younger players to grow.

I don't get it he's being chased out of town and they are asking for top dollar I don't see the leverage Vancouver has they HAVE to get rid if him Drury has no finesse not that I want Miller but the names that were in play all seemed like we were getting hosed.

Id rather hold these guys till TD or offseason to make trades Miller is not worth it ,the cons massively out weigh the pros .

Not happy giving up a first round pick at all this unless we're getting Brady Tkachuck. Chytil and Lindgren for Miller is a steal

I disagree with anyone that says Kakko / Borgen trade wasn’t good for the Rangers. The Rangers need good defensemen that play defense and Borgen fits that bill.
@kevinmaguire443711 күн бұрын
First off nobody really knows what the offer was. Second off it’s just insane to me to think about the fact that you might put together a trade package for a guy that you draft it 15th overall. If we get rid of anything, it’s gotta be Gabe, Brendan, or draft picks we should not be getting rid of any roster ready youth players especially for a guy who only has eight goals this season and a bad attitude.

For Vancouver, if this rumor has any truth to it would have centered around the first round pick. A third line fragile center, a third pairing defenseman, and some random prospects for a stud that will put you over the top. Clearly Vancouver would not be better in the short run but it may have been good enough to restore the resort atmosphere that Trader Jim so disparately wanted gone. lol Truth is Vancouver is full up with bottom pairing d-men and third line centers. The only return for Vancouver was a first round pick and maybe a prospect that works out. This move probably would have finished off the teams chance at making the playoffs, whereas Milsy in New York means a crappy first round pick. Seems like there are lots of happy fans that were glad the deal fell through on just the conditional 1st round pick. Drury dropped the ball again, lol. As a Canuck fan that was a desperation trade to get the Kumbaya back into the Canucks locker room resort. Without Milsy, no way in hell the Canucks can ever get past the Oilers so Canucks management are between a rock and a hard place. Many think without Milsy, Petey will play like the super star they think he is. No way in hell that is going to happen, his problem is he can't play hurt and that is why he is only playing to about half his potential. He gets hurt he starts thinking and then he is terrible. The Canucks are going to be on a free fall when Milsy gets traded for a hope and a prayer. Mark my words they have already lost the day they decided that Milsy had to go.

The Rangers made a Kakko mistake and now they want to make another. NO to this Chytil trade he's the only player that can attack and penetrate the defense as for Mika i am disappointed with, Kreider i am disappointed with, Miller has no interest , Lindgren plays confused, Fox kills his own PP each player should be assessed and asked if they are uncomfortable where they are playing because that mistake was made with Kakko and right now Kakko is playing like a All Star.

I would be OK with this trade except no way do you include a 1st rounder. Miller has already heated up so not worried about that. Chytil is a really good player but he's fragile as hell. Rangers should have offered Brodzinski or Kaliyev or both & had Tyler Myers thrown in. We can't afford to part with prospects or draft picks at this point.

If they wait a few more weeks we might be able to bring in Miller without giving up one of Chytil or the 1st. I think we need to hold onto at least one of those as we are drying up on prospects after the Kakko trade

Vancouver doesn't have the upper hand!!. No need to over pay for miller And NO 1ST RD PICK!!

Chytil is a third line center and Lingren is a rental. How is that anywhere near the value of a 90-100 point #1 all star center? Thank gawd Vancouver didn't pull the trigger. Miller just needs a change of scenery and will be back to himself again.

Drury is a cancer to the team. He needs to be fired. Chytil is playing really well and will only continue to do so. Very happy this Horrible deal didn’t go through

So a couple AHL tweeners at best, a fragile middle 6 centre that can’t score, a bottom pair defender and a first is “too much” for a 100 point calibre top line NHL centre? Are you high?😂

Thank you for your videos. Still don't know why this team insists on moving youth for older players who WILL NOT HELP THIS TEAM !!! J.T. Miller WAS a Ranger. Now he is an older veteran who WILL NOT HELP THIS TEAM !!! Trade players like Shesterkin, and his albatross of a contract, for youth and assets. He deserves to play for a cup contender because he will not win as a Ranger. I declare the curse, henceforth, as the Henrik Curse. Too many great goalies have had careers stifled by mediocre Ranger teams. The philosophy must change.

Your a fool if your a ranger fan and wouldn’t accept this trade rangers were never going to go thru a full rebuild and worry about Mika in the offseason this woulda been a win win you get lindgren off the team whose clearly the biggest weakness on D and get miller a bona fide elite 1C the rangers need that and he’s a leader who can drag players into the fight and he’s a prick the rangers need that chytil going out in a trade is not an issue at all he’s good offensive center but very replaceable he’s garbage defensively and gets hurt too often
@JMdrumz7111 күн бұрын
Do you realistically believe that Chytil could survive a long, physically intense playoff run?! Highly doubt it; Rangers have enough good prospects to make Chytil expendable.
