Love the channel. Love the scale of this project. The adjustable rail mounts are brilliant. You are truly a great mentor/role model for young engineers/inventors.

I know I will never ever be as smart as this guy, but damn is he inspiring, I have really gotten more into electric engineering and computer science because of this guy. He has made me think in ways I have never done before and its great.

Ok, so we're using a tools to assist us feeble, imprecise, humans to get a win. And that's fine. But why are we only modifying the launcher? Why not also the friz... I mean disc as well at this point? Why not just get a drone, attach the disc to the drone, and then fly it over to the goal? Sure, this is probably faster, but it's not like we are trying to speed-run disc golf. Yet.

Why not just spin the last wheels of one side the opposite of the other side instead of just removing it?

People a hundred years ago: Man I wish I had a robot to simplify my super hard labor intensive job. Shane: Here's my $19,251 robot arm I'm using to move a single note card to a different $300 robot that prints my handwriting onto said card, which the $19,251 robot then takes the finished notecard and places it in a different stack of other cards... love it.

Theirs one obvious variable that your software, cameras and tech can't account for. With the way a recurve bow works, the further you pull it back, the more power and speed it's going to shoot with. You would have to pull the bow to the exact same spot and force, every single time for this to be 100% accurate. I think that was the main variable I think was causing you problems. The compound bow makes all kinds of sense, because they pull to a certain point, same point every time, then are locked in place.

I can see the initial designs you showed having issues right away because you definitely need spin to keep it aerodynamic. I wonder if having one side spin from the side with the other being on bearings to just free wheel or even just a rubber pad the whole way. And maybe a wheel above to keep it flat much more complicated probably than what he seems to be doing.
@ChazzleDazzleVideosКүн бұрын
Lol looks like he kind of ended up where I was thinking but I was thinking wheels on one side and the top on that side for acceleration and spin and either casters or a flat rubber surface on the other side for grip or to roll against.

Have the front three wheels on either side lift up when not required? Want it to spin left then flip the leaver left and the front three wheels on the right raise up. Want it to spin right flip the leaver to the right and the front three wheels on the left raise up.
