Roth was a perfect example of California Hollywood rockstar ego, he actually lived the part. I personally never gave a damned for California crap, but I think he made Van Halen, and they died when he left.....

Something I I didn’t notice until now is that throughout the whole video he has his volume and tone knobs on his guitar rolled back to about 9 o clock. I wonder why. Does anyone know if this Is this something he always did?

Eddie was everything a guitar hero is supposed to be. His creativity and passion took the ceiling for what people thought the instrument could do and rose it to a new level. He was the nicest guy ever, and he was always chasing for new tones. It’s very sad that we don’t have him around anymore. Rest in peace Eddie.

Eddie was the goat 🐐 influenced every guitar player after him. Dime and Vinny Paul were hugely influenced by Alex and Eddie they were the best in metal 🤘 RIP

They were a bonded pair, musically and emotionally. Through thick and thin, ebbs and flows, highs and lows, they were a team. One could not survive without the other.

Still breaks my heart that he passed away... My mom passed away the very same day Ed did. He passed in the morning and I was on my way to the hospital to visit my mom... she passed later that evening. RIP Ed.

Everyone could see how bad EVH was doing during those years, the only 2 that came to his defense were his trained parrot brother & his piece of crap manager Ray Daniels.

Not true about being the first to do the tapping thing. Now the technique he used was all his own. The big however is there were many who tapped and made harmonics with both hands. Just watching his dad play...... One can see where he got some of his technique and ideas.....

Im posting this comment when some new videos popped up on the past of Van Halen . It really wasn't till now we start seeing videos of Dave being "weird" . There's a video pic of Mike himself calling Dave weird . Now it seems Dave had/has ADD/ADHD . It seems Dave made a career with it . Also it seems Dave didn't like the 5150 studio because beforehand Dave had alotta fun making albums at Sunset Studios . Doing work at 5150 wasn't fun to him maybe . Also , this when the band members actually saw their success with a new contract and thei STILL second best selling album . Dave saw all this REAL money coming in and decided to bail .

Yeah I agree , Dave is probably like New York City. A short visit is exciting , stimulating and once in a life time type of fun . But living and working in New York day after day is more than likely a much different story.
