I love this game since I was a kid but after play almost all the games I think that Hard Corps in general is the best game of the saga, but the bgm in this game is better, is so perfect for each part of the game, feels like the 1st Predator movie xD

I just died at around the 40:30 mark, looks like the clear is in reach! congrats on your amazing playthrough. This game really just unravels in hard mode. An absolute prophecy in STGs - I also only realized now (after many years of playing/having cleared regular mode) that the final boss has the same attack and moving pattern as the final form of glow squid in garegga!

Recca is the best shmup on nes/famicom imo. It is cool to see stuff in this game show up later like glow squid and the bomb in pink sweets is basically right out of recca too.

This is one and only shmup game (and Recca too) which is used fast scrolling and slow scrolling at time to time, I love it, the thing is simple but still refreshing gameplay, and at least making image not that boring, idk why it was that hard to do for other game devs

You realize that al82 channel is just a bunch of fake/cheated, tool assisted runs with an emulator right? I watched his video of fever sos and it's laughable how bad it is. He has absolutely no idea how to play the game and it's obviously cheated. Anyway, a bunch of my recent videos feature real runs playing the actual pcb if you want to check them out.

@ Yeah a lot of video game replays on KZbin are crap. I found his channel because he was doing some games I hadn’t seen before. Or maybe it was some weird game I was looking up and only his channel had a complete run (like, not even World of Longplays had it). And that’s why I was wondering what a run by you would look like, because I know you’ve got some actual boards. And man, you did not disappoint! I wasn’t trying to dis you or anything. I know you’ve got crazy skills. The difference is so staggering, though. I think it’s just been too long since I’ve watched one of your playthroughs.

@Peter_Morris no worries, I just wanted to make sure you knew that channel al82 was full of fake/cheated videos (probably all of them) because there are a lot of people watching that stuff without realizing what is going on.

I loved the first Contra so much that up till today even back then, no other Contra entertained me. I tried so many times to play this one when I was a child but just couldn't enjoy as much as the first one and totally lost all interest in any other Contra title that came out after. I'm a 40 year old man now and still play contra on my emulator on my phone. Between Contra and outzone, no better platform games was created.

@stgcvlt only differences are the tlb is not invincible and there is English text, and different title screen. No gameplay differences other than the tlb as far as I can tell.

Asmik used to make cool games on the NES, but why here its turned out that horrible is will stay secret... I liked their Asmik Kun Land and Cosmic Epsilon, especially Cosmic Epsilon cuz great soundtrack and atmosphere, but this one... This SNES game is a disaster...

Stage 3 miniboss seems kinda unbalanced... Its one of enemies which is weirdly hard to destroy Also, in its design I see a thing in the middle which is looks like minigun or something, probably they wanted to use that way, but maybe something happened during development and they cancelled that idea

After playing 900 hours this game i arrive to Boss 7 because with forced scroll is easy lose options,i normaly beat all fighting games in hardest but gradius v is much more difficult but sound effects become game adictive, brutal difficult but not unfair game
