I love my 01 Bullitt. It was built to be driven. These 2v 4.6's maintained properly will run forever. I have one with 400,000 that still performs like it did new so i don't sweat the mileage. 😅 and the sound is 🔥

Fuel easier and faster? Hmmm…takes me about 10 seconds to plug in every few days, and then another 30 seconds to unplug and wrap the cord back up the next morning with my car all ready to go. More convenient than gas because I don’t have to go anywhere to to get my “fuel”. If there is electricity, a BEV can be recharged.

How thick should it be? Mashed Potatoes is too runny. I prefer Rocky Road or a thick Brownie Batter type consistency if it’s too runny my tiles end up uneven and I have to pull them up and redo them 👁️ 👄 👁️

Looking back on this, I definitely left things out. Trying out the shorts was a fun experience, but not my strong suit yet lol. Imo too runny gives you more time to work, but poor application and too thick doesn’t spread and you really can’t work with it. Good references with rocky road and brownie batter. I like the consistency of something like sour cream or whipped peanut butter. It has that firmness but still has that wetness so you have more play time before it completely sets up. Als dude, so true Too runny is the worst, they’ll be falling off the wall and sliding. Not fun!

While designing the Dark Horse, the Ford Engineers improved more than >113 parts compared to the 2022 Mach 1 car: brakes, transmission, suspension, steering, aerodynamics, drag coefficient, down force, handling, seat position, glass, tires, stereo, interior fabrication, engine, exhaust, over-the-air enhancements, reliability, sitting height of the car, belt line of the windows. I was able to sit-in on an engineering seminar on the DH & S650 Mustangs. There is absolutely no-way in this world that the GT-350 is better than the DH. Just too many improvements and updates to the car!!! That is one reason, besides inflation, why the price has gone up so much. The engine reliability improvements alone make the DH better than the Mach 1 & GT-350. As Mustang owners this is difficult to accept because the mighty Shelby name but this is what I learned at the private seminar. Stay tuned over the next two years. Ford already released the encryption to 2024 ECM/ECU to Whipple, RTR, & one other company. Ford definitely understands that they sell Mustangs at the high sales percentages because the owners are able to modify their cars as desired. That’s not going away as many knuckleheads claim on KZbin. Stay positive, Ford definitely made the 7th generation better than the 6th generation Mustang!!!

After watching several videos like this one we put the detergent it in and started to clean some chairs. WOW... you talk about how good it works. @jeffmartin2675

How was the performance model? I wanted to try one, but none was available. Since you've tested other EVs prior, It's pretty apparent after driving others vs the Tesla, that Tesla has really thought of and figured things out. Compared to the competition, they are still a decent way along imo. VW and BMW have nice options, but lack certain things. Companies are catching up, but Tesla has established that "cool" factor before others and that's important for them. It'll be interesting to see the shift in the industry down the line

3:36 How does aluminum increase the flow of air to incredible?
@jeffmartin2675
@jeffmartin2675 Жыл бұрын
It basically comes down to heat dissapation. The more heat you can dissipate as quickly as possible, you're able to have higher compression ratios and not risk detonation. So in turn, keeping things cooler will work for breathing and intake temps for air/fuel ratios which also have a more dense charge, yielding more power and stability.

This is very odd. Several things you mentioned, you where not sure about and needed to figure out yourself, confuses me. Had the rental company not given you any introduction into the car's operation? But even then, the user's manual is right there in the infotainment. Had they also not granted you access to the App? Very strange.🤔 If you had been given access to the car via the app, you would not have missed the bad Andriod and Apple car integrations - yes, they are bad - as together with the Tesla App the car is a breeze to use.
@jeffmartin2675
@jeffmartin2675 Жыл бұрын
The rental company literally said "pick your car and drive to the gate" lol. No intro, nothing. They did have a really nice catalog available that was more in depth on their website that showed operation and common functionality with text and video. Luckily I had done a ton of research prior and looked into It since it really interested me on all of the features available and to try and get the best experience as well as to help the wife when she drove. Unfortunately, I didn't get access to the app, which I'm sure would've changed the experience. Everything else was relatively intuitive though. It's a great car and compared to other electric cars, the operations are indeed slightly different, but I found it was easy to adjust after a half hour or so.

Having owned a LR Y here in Dallas for nearly 2 years and 24k miles most of which is multi state road trips I will say: 1. Charging is less of an issue if you own the car vs rent. You'll charge at home and never visit a Supercharger except on days where you need to do more than 200 miles. 2. Our gas car road trips looked like this: - Drive 2.5 hours - 15 minute restroom stop inc grab a coffee to take in the car - Drive 2 hours - Lunch stop for 30-45 mins (fast food vs waitress) then spend 5 mins getting gas - Drive for 2.5 hours - 15 minute restroom stop inc grab a soda/snack to take with in the car - Drive for 2 hours 3. Our Tesla road trips look like this: - Drive 2.5 hours - 20 minute charge and restroom stop inc grab a coffee to take in the car - Drive 2 hours - Lunch stop for 30-45 mins (fast food vs waitress) - Drive for 2.5 hours - 20 minute restroom stop inc grab a soda/snack to take with in the car - Drive for 2 hours Hmm.... So the difference door to door on a like for like basis is 5-10 minutes. Not bad for 600 miles. How long it takes to order/eat our food or stand in a checkout line at the gas station makes more difference. There is only one downside so far. To get the above timings you have to eat / use the restroom where the charger is. If you stop somewhere else to do one of those things and then stop 30mins later to charge you would end up sitting in the car waiting for it to charge which no-one wants to do. But you figure that out fast. I'll also say that cost wise, if you only use Superchargers it's the same cost as running a comparable gas crossover (eg Rav4). But this is on road trips, day to day with home charging it's 70% cheaper to charge than buy gas (even in Texas with cheap gas prices). PHEV's were a great idea before the Model Y came out. They have no place now.

This is as bad as it is going to get for Tesla drivers and the Tesla ecosystem. Each new day brings another exciting Tesla improvement such as a new supercharger location, faster charging, OTA update that makes the car meaningfully better. Okay, sometimes it’s a few months between iterations or announcements, but the overall zoomed out view is that the Tesla ecosystem is constantly improving whereas the gas car ecosystem and improvements are few and far between - a stale industry. The future is brighter for the company with the will and capacity to change for the better, quickly and constantly. ICE has had its chance to get better for the past 100+ years, and it has, but the pace of innovation over the past few decades has been dismal on so many fronts: cars that only get 30 mpg?

I agree with you that hybrids and PHEVs are the way to go for now . I plug mine in every night at the house and enjoy the 20 miles on electrons and the fact that I have another 550 plus miles on gasoline at economical hybrid mpg. Until an EV will give me that same sense of freedom that I can go anywhere, whenever I want, and not be dependent upon an electricity provider Who made shut off the electrons or shut down my financial transaction because they or the government decided that I voted the wrong way,... I do not think I will have an EV as my primary vehicle.

All that political and unstable market you have today with oil or you really don't know who controls the price of oil? Certainly not the US. Unlike the electricity provider that are regulated by the states. And there is the possibility to produce your own electricity with solar panels and battery backup an option that states like Texas and California are adopting at a very fast pace. Freedom of travel there are more than 50 videos here on you tube by people doing the cannon ball run from LA to NY in electric cars with no problem and getting new time records on the process.

Hybrids and PHEV do make a lot of sense. If only auto makers churned them out earlier instead of playing catch up and jumping right on the electric band wagon. It would’ve been a smoother transition and allowed the tech to develop linearly and not exponentially now to get a piece of the market share that Tesla has. Who knows what performance or economical changes would’ve occurred then. Either way, I understand why people like electric cars and hybrids all around. But mileage is a very touchy subjective for the majority of buyers. Glad to hear that you’re enjoying your PHEV 👍 thanks for weighing in

@@jeffmartin2675 You are welcome. I have wondered why they started with cars instead of electrifying buses, pickup trucks, industrial trucks, etc. which are already designed to carry heavy weight. So, the battery pack wouldn't be that much of a penalty. I guess it must've been the thought that "regular cars" would achieve the critical mass needed to get the industry & common people to take EVs seriously.

@@jeffmartin2675 we have a chevy volt in the family and I personally believe is the best plug in hybrid. That said the reason that GM stop making the volt was that they were losing more than $9k on each vehicle sold (unable to compete with full EVs). Not only do you need a full combustion system and a full battery electric drive train but also the hardware and software to make the interconnected operation. Very soon that GM realized that a battery electric only system was simpler to build and in the long run more profitable. There for their new EV only strategy.
