Does a set with a king and other cards on it get to move to a free space?

A friend years ago went to Danemark on holiday and learned it with some locals, but then he forgot some rules. We called it "danish" and reinvented it as follows: - 2 resets (but not if it´s spades, in that case, it´s a "due di pigne": you are f**cked) - 3 is transparent - 10 clears - A attacks anybody you like (you don´t need to follow the order of the game, you just pick a weak player), you can answer with a A or 2,3,10. - Joker can be turned into any card but a 2/3/10 (yes it can also complete a poker or be turned into an A) - 9 changes direction of the game - 8 skips the next opponent (2 or 3 opponents if double or triple). - 7 demands a lower card instead of a higher one. Best card game ever.

OK my question is. Let's say you are playing and You throw a 2 they throw a 3 you throw a 4 collect 3 points they throw a 5 collect 4 you throw a 2, Do you collect 10? for the total of 2345, 2345 and two 2s?

Hi, i have the 11, 12 and 13 of each suit, would i use the 11 after a J in a run or can i choose to run with a 9,10,j,q,k? Hope this makes sense

12:05 Why doesn't it also count as two runs of 3?
@Rulies
@Rulies 3 күн бұрын
@merlon8599 You only score the longest run, smaller runs within it don’t get extra points. For example, if you have 4, 5, 6, 7, you score 4 points for the 4-card run, not separate points for 4, 5, 6 or 5, 6, 7. However, if one card changes, you can score it as a separate run.

The algorithm brought me here. I only played for one day at camp fourteen years ago. Before then, I only saw the board at stores, but I had no idea what it could possibly be for. I saw it again in the board games bin at camp, so I went to the nearest teacher (as this was a school trip), and he told me to ask my homeroom teacher about it. He taught me how to play with an incomplete deck that was also in the bin. I got completely dunked, of course. I don't think I noticed it, but someone took a photo of me playing with my teacher, and that made it to the trip photo collage. I haven't touched it since. It's really weird that the algorithm served me this when I don't usually talk about cribbage, and I haven't exactly been seeking it out. Truly, life works in mysterious ways.

We used to play spoons on our lunch breaks at college (UK) and it often got a little intense and dangerous with plastic spoons (blood was shed) 😅 Some people play the same game but call it corks, and use corks instead of spoons

I don’t know if it’s an official rule, but I was taught that you NEVER give the deck to the Pone to cut while shuffling. If you hand the cards to the pone to cut, he steals the deal. I used to play a lot with my grandfather when I was in high school and college. He passed away in 1991. I played intermittently when i could find someone who knew how to play. But now I’m teaching my younger daughter to play.

Interesting! I never heard of that rule! I always love hearing how others play games. Nothing wrong with keeping it as a house rule for family tradition.

If you don't have a cribbage board, you can always just score to 121 on paper. I love crib, it's a great game. Seems from these rules though we have been doing one thing wrong; if the last score at "go" is 15 or 31 we have always scored "15/31 for 2 go's 3". Oh well, old habit we are unlikely to change!

When I played it in UK a decade ago the rules were a bit different. There was no sequence to the ranks you had to put down. Instead, you had to put down at least 2 matching ranks. If you didn't have a pair, you cheated. If you were feeling cocky, you cheated by pitting down extra cards. If you were feeling extra cocky, you'd bluff to show that you were cheating while you actually were not, thus tricking your opponents into collecting that pile. Good times.

We always had a cribbage board but I didn’t learn to play until my father taught my son. It’s a fabulous game. I actually got me a new handmade fold up board for Christmas. I love the board you’re showing, the color of the track is my favorite.

2 can be played on anything and grants another go to the person who played it, 10 can be played on anything, kills the pile and grants another go to the person who played it, 9 forces the next player to play a card lower than a 9, Jokers are 10s, Four of a kind are 10s, If you draw the same card after playing and before the next player plays their card, you may play it. Eg. play a 4, draw a 4, play a 4 before the slowpoke in front of you gets a chance to play their 5. Oh and whoever sets up their cards quickest can play first, there's nothing to determine it. Just whoever gets there first plays first if they want.

I don't even remember when I learned how to play, but it's been quite awhile ago when I was just a kid. I don't have a partner to play at home so I go online. I'm not great at too many games, but I usually can beat online champions and they'll always accuse me of cheating despite being a computer where cheating doesn't work. It's just one of the games that my brain can see really well. 😂
