Back when I was still in Girl Scouts, we would play this all the time. So many great memories :) When we played it, after someone successfully bluffed and moved on to the next player, the original person would say “peanut butter” which would tell everyone else they had lied. Does anyone do this when they play BS?

I learned this game on Neopets. Over there, you can go up or down in rank from the last player. If there is no stack, you can play any rank. I always enjoyed gaming this to trap opponents into numbers I knew they had used up.

Very flawed game without a pass. All you have to do is keep track of number of cards. Odds of having “next” card down to 7.6% with 4 cards left and more likely under 2% unless multiple cards. A pass would still punish the passer by holding onto cards. Most will still chance a bluff after a pass or two. Should revise the rules. Becomes impossible to win when playing with sober group

The way I play is when someone challenges a turn, you don’t show the card but they choose one card at random, and if that card is a bluff then they take the deck. So let’s say I say this is 4 4s, but I put 4484.... I lied but if someone challenges it and picks one card at random like the 4, they would have to take the deck, not me

I play this with friends and family a lot. We’ve never went in the order of Ace. 2. 3 etc. tho. The way we play is you can do any card. But it has to be 1 up or 1 down from the previous card. For example if I put down 2 cards and say two 5’s. Next person has to put down 4 or 6. 1 up or 1 down from what I said I put down.

How come one deck is 1-6 players and two is 7-10 and not 7-12?
@Rulies5 жыл бұрын
Connor! This is such a great question. I can always tell when someone is a gamer by the type of question that they ask. So I’m going to give you a detailed answer! I’ve played this game a lot, and I believe that the recommended limit of 10 is not necessarily based on cards but on how many people that can comfortably play the game and feel engaged. Once you get up to nine or ten players it starts to take a really long time for your turn to come around and players start being distracted. If you had two decks and 12 people that really wanted to play one big game, I think you could go for it, but it might be more fun to have 2 simultaneous games going. While we are talking about it, I have also played with eight players and one deck. It *is* doable, but your hands start out pretty thin. Players are less likely to have multiples of a cards so it's less exciting and harder to bluff. Everyone usually has only one of each card tops.. not very exciting. That’s why I recommend two decks when over 6 players. Thanks for asking!

The way I played growing up whoever had the Ace of Spades started and you could also bluff the amount of cards too. So if you didn't have any 4s for example and wanted to get rid of 3 cards you could stack them nicely and put them down and say "two 4s" even though you put down 3 cards. But if you're caught and they say bull and see you put down 3 cards instead of 2, the stack is yours just like getting caught putting down the wrong number.

What happens if two players challenge a call simultaneously and the challenge happens to be wrong. Who will get the dispense pile..whats the rule ?
@Rulies11 ай бұрын
Good Question: If two players call BS simultaneously and are wrong, the pile of cards is divided evenly between them. Alternatively, Some people play that instead of dividing, the cards go to the challenger that is closest to the left of the current player. I prefer splitting! Thanks for leaving a great comment!

Oooh, that's how you play it... We always just put down one card, then snuck in more underneath if you could which made it fun if people got too hasty. When you got caught, you didn't pick up the whole pile either. I think we split the deck in half and just drew a few from that pile. I kind of prefer those "house rules" to be honest, but it's nice to see how it was originally supposed to be played. Edit: Checked online and apparently we have our own variant version in Sweden, which is called "Bluffstop". You learn something new everyday...
