You're missing the fact that the oxalate content is even worse when you juice vegetables.

Sure do, I’ve had my Hurom slow masticating juicer for 10 years. It still works like a charm, but might be time to upgrade soon. Any juicer recommendations?
@MinusTheGym6 ай бұрын
Wow, 10 years is a long time for a juicer. I currently have a Nama Vitality. It’s great but there are so many other juicers I still want to try. I’ve heard amazing reviews for the Tribest Greenstar juicers, so one of those might be my next investment.
@MinusTheGym6 ай бұрын
Your body produces four different enzymes that break down oxalates. That’s just fear mongering from the carnivore community. I’ve consumed about a pound of spinach or other greens almost daily for the last 5 years and never had any issues with kidney stones or other oxalate related problems. I suspect only people with genetic mutations who can’t produce oxalate oxidase would need to watch out for oxalates.
@drubber0076 ай бұрын
@@MinusTheGym Yes you do excrete some of the oxalates but not all of it. It builds up over time in various parts of the body. So you might be ok 5 years in but you'll pay the price further down the line and its not just kidney stones that they can cause. This is proven research not just fear mongering as you put it.

I mean.... make sure to keep health markers in check and if you're thriving on that diet, sure go ahead. But such a restrictive diet in modern times, and especially one that takes so much effort because you have to juice and eat all the time.... might not work for most people.

Ok, I am gonna ask something you probably covered in this but I may not completely understand. 1. I don't juice my fruits, but I do blend it, sometimes with a bit of skin, and I consume all of it with some chewing, is this better than juicing or not? 2. Am I getting the same sugar content that spikes extreme insulin overall to say...a sweet sugary drink? As I understand, with the extra blending - I am making the sugar even more available to me.

Cool concepts. Just some things to consider: - Getting the fiber out of the food though possible, it's sub-optimal. Lots of extremely useful nutrient and minerals are stored in the fiber. - Not all people can consume all kinds of fruits (or food in general). One thing often omitted and overlooked is the fact that different people have different kinds of intolerances or allergies to various foods. Some cannot consume pears, others cannot consume berries or apples or pineapples. This is one of the most important yet most overlooked factor in a successful diet. - Placing your fruits in the blender indirectly affects the eventual effect the food will have to your body. Eating a raw banana is not the same as juicing and then drinking it (even if you eat everything in it). Breaking the down the fruit in the blender affects greatly how your body will perceive it. - Most blenders are made out of plastic. This a monumental red flag. Every time you squash a fruit in there you get loads of microplastics into the juice you'll drink and these microplastics wreak havoc on your hormonal balance. Overall, you're to juice fruits pay attention to allergies and juice them in your mouth - not on a blender.

@MinusTheGym5 ай бұрын
Depends. Are you experienced with explosive push ups? If 10 reps is about 50% of your max, you should be fine. Gtg uses submaximal sets, that’s the key. But if you’re pushing to your max or even just close to failure then you might end up overdoing it.

Love your content. I have a question for you can I make body weight circuits? My only type of exercise and be healthy and fit and strong. I'm talking no running, no biking, no weightlifting No stretching Just body weight circuits? The reason I is because if I can simplify it down to just that I will be a lot more consistent because with things like running I can use the weather as an excuse. Not saying I should but I can not to do it with weightlifting. I have to go to a gym with stretching. Well yeah I know the benefits but it's boring so can can bodyweight circuits alone be enough bonus question could bodyweight circuits alone get someone in shape for mixed martial arts?
@MinusTheGym6 ай бұрын
Thanks. Yes, bodyweight circuits alone can do a lot. In fact, best shape I was ever in was while doing circuits 5x per week in my late 20’s. Usually 5 exercises, like push ups, muscle ups, pull ups, squats and leg raises. I built the volume way up. Sometimes as much as 10 rounds of the circuit in each workout. It’s definitely great for conditioning.

That's really terrible advice... By juicing, you are thrashing the fibers that were making the sugar digestion slow and acceptable for the body. You do not come with a single actual argument against the "myth" that juice is mainly sugar (that is because it definitely is). And you fail to mention that similarly to alcohol (and in contrary to glucose), fructose has to be processed by the liver directly.

Juicing seems very wasteful and expensive. Why wouldn't making smoothies be much better than juicing, since you're getting the fiber too?
@MinusTheGym6 ай бұрын
Smoothies are great but juicing has unique benefits. The main benefit of omitting the fiber happens when juice fasting. When your body doesn’t have to digest the fiber for an extended time (2-3 days or so), it goes into healing mode just like regular fasting, even though you’re still getting tons of nutrition and feel like a million bucks. Your colon empties out and your body goes into deep cleaning mode. The other benefit is you can get a lot more nutrition when you omit the fiber. I’d probably have trouble drinking a smoothie containing a half pound of spinach and a whole pineapple - it would be incredibly filling - but I have no problem drinking the juice from all that.

@user-kz4ke8mg4r No, but you still should eat them naturally because juicing (even vegetables) will increase the sugar absorption rate. High sugar absolution rate will spike insulin. We've learned the hard way to not eat highly processed carbs and now here we are suggesting that we process perfectly good whole foods. But that's still not what I was referring to.
