Thanks for the tutorial! You could also just plug the vertex map into a Redshift Material Blender node, to render the trails in Redshift.

Totally, I like to have a bit more control over it in comp though but you can absolutely do it all straight in the render

You could create new vertex map, and put original old vertex map inside with layer mode average to get smooth result, without increasing geometry

Cheers kazi, if you can pipe the vertex map into a physical or arnold shader you should be good to go - we only use Redshift and Octane though so not entirely sure

Yep you can pipe a vertex map into a legacy c4d Shader as well

Try making your text editable, put it in a connect object, or increase the collision values

Unfortunately this tutorial is based on the new features added to C4D 2023, you can install R2023 along side R26, I keep switching back and forth too because 2023 has a lot of bugs!
