my car thermostat was behind the timing belt etc, after 2 bad thermostats i removed it, then problems started with overheating, i installed a inline thermostat housing and drilled a 3mm hole, problems solved

I put a new cam in my truck. Its a pretty nice cam, but I'm not getting too much improvement but the sound, from the erxhast I installed. I've had abouy 4 tunes, but they were the wrong ones....I went to the wrong shop to get this done. So. After a little more than 5k, could have had a whole nre motor!

The truth is that the thermostat is holding the coolant in the radiator so air will flow through and cool the coolant. Without it the temperature will get too hot. I don’t buy 3/4 what these people are saying about their cars overheating with a thermostat. It could be a bad one. Don’t buy cheap ones.

If your car has 12:1 compression and you are in the west coast with only 91 available, meth will have the same and better results than e85. If it's turned for it! IAT's will be much cooler than e85 and octane will be dependent on how much meth is sprayed. It is 117 octane. If 30% of your fuel is from meth, 91 turnes into ~99 octane with tuning/detonation surpression similar to 105 octane fuel. Generally, IAT's, if meth is sprayed after the intercooler, will be about 30-40 deg F cooler than ambient. Have your tuner tune for the timimg to be pulled if temps rise above certain thresholds. Relocate the IAT sensor from the MAF to post meth injection for an optimal fail safe. Or listen to the chicken chits. Cleans the cylinder too. Will require the spark plugs being changed every 1-2K miles. Copper plugs are $2 a piece.

When a engine is cold it move faster than when its hot.....a hot engine won't even start.....but with or without thermostat a engine alway reach its operating temperature nothing will stop that and without thermost you much safer from overheating in the future...

Yeah but I drive daily in 97* with 109% humidity FLORIDA I think my 2000 Grand Prix GTP cools better and more evenly than when it had the t stat in. With it iin, the temp fluctuations were more often and more drastic ~ out it cooled more consistently Just my op on my old Pontiac

My darn Lexus ES300 ECU-G fuse keep blowing, which controls the radiator fans. I just took it into the shop to find issues, but I just lost $178 for diagnostics. I think I'm just going to do this. My question is, how often should I turn the fans on if I'm on the road. 1. How often? 2. For how long?

I have a question that I haven't received any better answer on it from mechanics. The question is, my radiator fan works perfectly when I take the thermostat out and when I put it back, the fan doesn't work anymore and my temperature rises to overheat when I'm driving slow(when I'm in traffic) The temperature starts to drop when I'm speeding because the air outside blows the radiator fan to rotate so it cools the system. Even though I want to take the thermostat out, I honestly want to know why this is happening because it wasn't like this when I first bought the car. All started happening after an accident

On my chevy 350 i dont have a thermostat, but i do have a 2 row aluminum radiator, one 16 inch electric fan with a switch and no fan clutch , so the fan spins with the motor... Will i still over heat??? (Not a daily driver) weekend car only. I do have a electric fan & mechanical together.

i just run mine with no vents normally to cool the engine in the AZ and if it raining i put the fake ones in 😂

I have electrical dual fans OEM setup (low and high speed). I put mine on the low speed relay at pin 85. This trick worked perfect. If I wanted to use the high speed I'd just use the 85 on that relay instead. If I wanted to use both, I'd have two separate switches. So for anyone wondering which relay since some have different names, just use the relay that activates the fan. For some odd reason my toggle switch works back to front but it works and thats all I care about ;) Thanks for sharing this vid.
