What is Boost Leak Testing?

hey 3point8, your videos are great so far, subbed. Quick question, I have a 2013 genesis coupe 2.0T with a canned tune by SFR, intake and a forge BOV. Recently i was driving one night and while driving the ecu threw a code P2261 "Turbocharger/Supercharger Bypass Valve - Mechanical" So i parked the car shut it off and then after restarting the car, the code was gone and boost was back to normal, hasnt happened since. I was pushing the car hard shortly before the code was thrown, but nothing extreme. Any ideas to what caused this? thanks

I've seen many other posts similar to this when running an aftermarket BOV. Either the BOV is failing or you have a boost/vacuum leak and the reference is off causing the BOV to open/close incorrectly. I'd do a boost leak test and just make sure there are not leaks (always a good idea). If it happens again, you may need to inspect/replace the solenoid.
