Once I've read your comment I was like "no, it can't be true", so I checked it out and... well, you know the end result. The funniest thing is that I've tried so much obscure things in this game (and its sequel) to uncover potentially "weird" responses and yet... I've NEVER tried to get out of Evil Pig fights using items (Baron, Charity Wings, Bells). They work on every fight in 1 (thus DESTROYING my "point of no return" claim) and every regular fight in 2. Really interesting, thanks for commenting! I'll adress when I'll talk about Evil Pigs in Tombi! 2. Of course you'll be credited for sharing this arcane knowledge. Thanks for watching and commenting!

First of all: thanks for giving my video a chance! I'm glad you've enjoyed the first part enough to subscribe. It's amazing to hear about younger gaming enthusiasts trying older games and enjoying them so much (though, damn, I feel old now, haha). Tombi! 2 is really special to me and I've wanted to make a video about it for a very, very long time. There will be two more parts for Tombi! 2 - I HOPE to release Act II before August and Act III somewhere in September. ...though my release plans often are... too ambitious for me (I was supposed to be done with the series by April 2024... though originally I've planned to make a combined 3-4 hour video about both Tombi! games, so it all got really out of hand). Once more, thanks for your time, especially commenting <3

@@Hodyna I first played it around 2007, I was 4 and an older cousin had a copy, and we used to play it everytime at our vacations. Since then, I loved the game and every now and then I replay it. Earlier this year I finished Tomba 1 for the first time and made the 100% on 2. I found out about the promotional mangas around 3 days ago and was thinking about trying to translate it to Brazilian Portuguese, but apparently they're not complete in English, so I might delay this idea for a while.

@@FernandoCarloto Sounds like really nice memories! Also, great pick for favorite game. What are your thought about Tombi! 1? It's... a very heated debate between fanbase which game is better (I like both, but 2 is still king in my book). Yeah, promotional manga is still being translated by Tomba Club. I'm pretty sure that making good scans take a lot of time as it's what? 2 years since they translated first chapter? Still, it's nice of you to try translate it! Also, I have quite a few viewers from Brazil and it's crazy how similiar gaming in 2000s was in both of our countries, even if they are separated by literal Ocean and about 10000 km. @@Hodyna I think the game was pretty Fun, but there is so much BS on certain areas. The 1-Up System was a bit of a problem, specially in the Mushroom Forest and Phoenix Mountain way, since you just lost a whole life for dropping on a hole. But apart from those things, I really liked the game, but i just cant compare It to 2. And i dont know about there in Poland (Sorry if I got It wrong), but here in Brazil we always depended on piracy (from ps1 onwards) or renting games so we could have acess to the games, and so we had the habit to reunite a Lot of people to play together and trade games with friends for everyone to try new things.

Hello there. I don't know if anyone reads the extended lore in the description, so I've decided to post a comment here. The production of this part was... very tumultuous as it took... 3 whole months. And for that, I'm sorry. I know that not too many people is interested in this series and I don't blame anyone of you. Every video I make is, pretty much, a self-fanservice that I'm making for myself (and to demonstrate the games that are important to me fully to my friends), but I'm sorry if you don't enjoy them. I hope that eventually I'll make something that will interest you again! [Regret] is... very important to me at the personal level. Even if I... really struggle to make bring it justice it deserves. And to think that I thought that the whole [Regret] will be a single video that's about 2.5-3 hours long that I would be over with in March... Once again, thanks for taking interest and clicking this video. The simple act of doing so means a lot to me. There are 2 acts left, each one should be about 1 hour long and then I'll be free. I plan to make smaller, lighter videos in the meantime to not burnout myself. Cheers! Chodyna out.

Great video.I just wanna add that Agumon might seem like the "easiest" starter in terms of usefulness in the beginning but I don't think it's ultimately the case. A new player will end up with Numemon easier with Agumon. That is because the biggest reason new players ends up with Numemon is because of weight being too low. Which means their bonus condition is wasted on weight. Therefore their bonus condition will not be able to fix the mismatch between care mistakes and parameters. A player taking good care of Agumon with no care mistake. Having focused on speed and offense. Will risk ending up with Numemon since both evolutions requiring either speed or offense also require care mistakes to be made. That means if the player didn't make any care mistakes and has too low weight he will end up with Numemon. The same player playing Gabumon is less likely to have low weight and as such will end up with a better evolution since weight will not waste the bonus condition which will then fix the "having to make care mistake" condition.
@Hodyna
@Hodyna 2 ай бұрын
Thank you! Both for watching and for taking your time to comment (and provide me with a really interesting conundrum). I agree wholeheartedly about "weight" being the deciding factor of getting a Numemon (and it's a bit of a blessing, as the farther you get into the game, the harder it is to get Numemon, so if you don't do the Toy Town plot quickly, you can be in a bit of a pickle). I agree with a lot of things you say, BUT! ...from what I've seen watching new players around me... care mistakes happen a LOT during the first gen. Not only players don't know where the toilets are (and sometimes there are just too far away to reach them in time, or are bad at dodging enemy Digimon), but there's also skipping feeding by rushing training too much and not having the habit of checking Digimon's needs after every single training session (and skipping hunger need because of the training counts as TWO care mistakes). Care mistakes pile up really quickly for them. It was really hard for me to get care mistakes, even when I deliberately wanted to get digivolutions that required them because that felt so... wrong, but... yeah, beginners make them! And they make them a lot, actually! I would say that getting a Numemon during the initial gen isn't TOO common with both starters, as you get good stats and Digimon with care mistakes requirements are really easy to get by playing "defaultly". Meramon and Birdramon have 15-25 weight requirement too, which is lower than any of Gabumon's evos. Gabumon DOES eat a lot more and often, though, so it is easier to get his weight higher than Agumon's. To be honest, even when I played the game as a child I NEVER got a Numemon as the initial evo. Both Agumon and Gabumon have quite a lot of possible Digivolutions with a varied set of requirements. I find it easiest to get Numemon with Betamon and Elecmon - they are my "go to" Digi's when I want to do the Toy Town plot. Thanks for sharing this, it was really fun to analyze it while commuting form work, haha!

@@RaineyDaysStudio Yeah, Beetle Land gets skipped a lot. Sorry for making your hopes up! I was shocked to discover it (and Back Dimension) when I played the game again 11 years ago. As for the info's on the screen... I didn't want to info dump TOO much by reading it completely as that would completely kill the pace of the video. It's a bit like a guide - if you need something, you can just get to it. But yeah, I'm completely aware of most people listening to it (...which kind of terrifies me, as I wanted to compensate my... shortcomings associated with reading and the audiosphere, with the imagery) - it's a long-ass video and finding enough time to check it out is... a lot, to be honest. Let's treat the text as a bonus for attentive watchers/second-watch bonuses! I hope you won't be disappointed with my recommendation! I really think that Next Order is great (I would say that Switch is actually the best platform to experience it - thanks to it being the portable PS4 port, though playing the PC version on Steamdeck seems like a great idea too, I just haven't tried it) and a natural progression of the series. ...who knows, maybe we'll get another DIgimon World game like that in the future... I just hope that the Digimon list will be... more curated - there's a lot of Digimon available to the player! ...but most of them feel really samey, when in the original Digimon World (and Re:digitize PSP version to some degree) each one was truly unique. ...I forgot to mention it in that "quick" review. It's my only gripe with the game, though (and it being slower and more linear than the original). But thanks for watching, commenting and your overall support! It means a lot to me! Sadly, I can't put your name on the credits (as the video was already released after all), but I'll be putting it in the credits of every future videos along the others. @@Hodyna thank YOU for making this! Scratched an itch that’s been there for a long time. Also, have you ever gone out of your way to collect the OTHER stat boost items? I seem to remember one of them dropping from the J-Mojyamon rather infrequently. Definitely agree with next order being slower! I had the misfortune of one of my initial partners achieving ultimate… and the other dying. So I’ve got 2 guys that are essential on different life cycles now, a bit annoying. Also, the human characters! Maybe I’m just older now, but oh man I had to just skip through that stuff 😂 And you hit the nail on the head about partners feeling samey. I’ve already had 2 forms of Kyubimon (fox tail inferno is air elemental? Lol!) I genuinely do not think we’ll get a game that ever matches DW1. It’s simply not possible, it’s a relic of its era, but even in its own time felt like some weird, different artifact. @@RaineyDaysStudio Don't worry, I love getting comments (and being able to respond to them)! It's really nice to have others to share passion with! Yeah, at one point (years before) I had every stat boosting item. There are six of them: Power Fruit (offense) from Vermilimon, Power Ice (defense) from Rockmon, Speed Leaf (speed) from IceDevimon, Sage Fruit (brains) from Piddomon, Muscle Yam (HP) from MoriShellmon and Calm Berry (MP) from BlueMeramon. Some of them can be also found in the wild (as in 1% spawns in select locations). J-Mojyamon drops Giant Meat infrequently - yeah, only really annoying Digimon drop stat boosters, sadly. As for Next Order... I initially also was quite annoying when my DIgimon ended at different life stages... but then I discovered INSANE training bonuses that the "weaker" Digimon gets. That difference can make your second Digimon obscenely strong. ...also... I strongly advise you to play the game on "easy" as it was the difficulty the game was designed for (it was the only one in the Japanese version). Trainings being debuffed really isn't all that fun.
