This is so inspiring! 📚 If you’re looking for more ideas to help kids stay entertained and enjoy life beyond screens, there’s a book called Breaking Kids Free from Screen Addiction that’s packed with fun activities and ideas. It’s great for helping kids find new ways to have fun without always reaching for a screen.

Amazing video, A friend of mine referred me to a financial adviser sometime ago and we got talking about investment and money. I started investing with $120k and in the first 2 months , my portfolio was reading $274,800. Crazy right!, I decided to reinvest my profit and gets more interesting. For over a year we have been working together making consistent profit just bought my second home 2 weeks ago and care for my family.

I’ve been forced to find additional sources of income as I got retrenched. I barely have time to continue trading and watch my investments since I had my second daughter. Do you think I should take a break for a while from the market and focus on other things or return whenever I have free time or is it a continuous process? Thanks..

the thing about idaho is you don’t come here and go to the mall and see gucci or prada or anything like that… our nicest store is probably banana republic. but that’s what idaho is. it’s not gucci or louis. idaho is outdoor, humble, christian people who are very family and community based

My husband was homeschooled but he is frustrated by how hands off his parents were with his career possibilities/education. He learned to program all on his own and him getting to where he is now has been so much harder because there wasnt a specific direction. He would be waaayyy better off mentally and financially if he had followed through and actually created something when he was 16. Now he doesn't have the time or the money to sit and program what he wants to make money. He is stuck in the 9-5 and he is really struggling with it

I would say for me my role as a parent is to lead my children but help them develop independence and critical thinking. Parents can’t force their children to be anything. At the end of the day they are who they are. I do have my children choose activities they are interested in to learn about commitment and discipline. I don’t think my children have to go to college but I feel that whatever they are wanting to do for a career they need to be fully committed and create a plan. If they want to go to college you can help them maximize what they want to do for a career. Parenting definitely isn’t easy and it really is a balancing act of wanting to put on your children what you hope for them and letting them find their own path.

Totally agree, but we're not going to put them on that tract and assume that college is what they should do - we're going to error on the side of giving them the skills to be more flexible with their future , which also happens to align with entrepreneurial endeavors. Like I said though, if our children have a dying passion to do something that requires schooling, then we'll 100% support them.

Not only all of that but the fact that GIRLS to be specific … we long to become mothers at some point. I have a Master’s degree and nobody prepared me for motherhood. I literally didn’t want to go to work anymore. I quit my job 5 years ago. I am not entrepreneur, I do have dreams and ideas but now my ministry is at home. I pulled my kids out of Christian private school and we are homeschooling them. Suzanne Venker wrote a book I think every girl should read before entering a relationship it’s called “How to build a better life”. This book touch those topics such as career, student debt and how we all have to prepare our girls to understand one day they will want to probably have family!

This is such a good point and honestly, this is what's motivated so many changes in my life! Ministry at home, building up the family, and the mothers role is so important, but it's pretty much never taught anywhere outside the home!

I’m desperately wanting to homeschool and continue to homeschool my kids. I have 3 in school and 3 that I’ve been homeschooling. But it seems like everyone is against me :( there is a lot of pressure on me to put them in public school.. how do I convince them to let me be .. one of the biggest pressures is my husband himself.. it’s all because of “socializing” he’s being told that our kids won’t be social and is not completely convinced they won’t have and socialization, and won’t hear me out on any of it

What a dumb thing to lie to your spouse about. I don’t even think the addiction part of the story is bad, it’s not a street drug. It’s the lying for me. If someone lies about something as little as that what else are they hiding…

Some of these comments are gross. An addiction is an addiction don’t minimize someone else strugglers just because it doesn’t seem like a serious addiction to you! The title is fitting. He was addicted to something for 15 years. No lie there.
