Looks awesome Jason, well done mate. Two questions, why didn’t you regulate the movement and also apply a little silicon grease to the O-ring on the stem/crown? How do you know if the watch is ok to go and swim with, do you do a water pressure test at all, or do you just not take the watch into any water ever? Thanks mate

hey, I have a question: I prefer bigger watches and I only find dials of the size of 28.5mm. which size of dial do i have to use when I use the same case as you but the 40mm version. Thank you for your effort and work to answer everyone. Thank you in advance

In most cases the 28.5mm dial fits in the 40mm case. It will say in the description if it doesn't. The parts I have linked use the 28.5mm dial for both size cases :)

Cheers! The crown actually comes with the case, and the crown stem comes with the movement

Wow looks amazing, could you please build a day date (rolex style day on top of watch not like the seiko day date), would be beneficial to learn how to set up the day date wheel on the movment. Thanks keep up the great content 👍

The dial linked in the description has no Seiko logo on it are you sure it’s exactly the same as the one you used?

Yep! You just need to make sure it says with "S Logo" or "with logo"

bro the pointers was not fixed correctlly, you have to fix the hour pointer in the 12h when the date turns.

I’ve not used the goo remover but I do this same thing with rubbing alcohol and it works quick as well!

Loctite is specifically made for threads, it can also be removed relatively easily down the track if you need to carry out repairs
