I brought the Milvus variant for landscape but it is difficult to use for woodland. I use 45mmF2.8 PC and 85mmF2.8 PC more. I seldom use my Nikon 200mmF2

Thank you for the info. I bought the Milvus 25mmF1.4 used to my D700, D800E and now also D850 for woodland. I used 18mmF3.5 on a D300APS-C camera that is 27mm on a D700 FF camera

Great review. Do you still use this 40mm F2, have you tried the newer version? Is the newer version optically the same besides the closer focusing?

I think for serious work, if one is not just vlogging and doesn't mind the extra weight and volume, S1 is better by far- for filming, etc S1H even better for video, S1R for photography.

Здравствуйте! Такой вопрос: Я купил б/у объектив 24-105 f/4. Panasonic и я им не довольный после нескольких сёмок. И на фото и на видео от 30мм до 105мм замечаю что он не имеет то ли рескости Толи ещё что-то но на фото на 105мм очень это заметно что на лице нет чёткости.. в чём причина может быть? Замечал ли ты Братухин этого у тебя ? Может это такой объектив от Панаса ? Подскажи пожалуйста...

I have this lens, and shoot mainly black and white. I don't bother the chomatic aberation because in is not visible in black and white. This lens is phenomenal for black and white!

MF actually works really well for me in landscape shooting, i use MF with focus peaking. I also use Magfilter adapter to attach ND / GND filters to this camera.

The Canon M100 was my go to camera for street photography for many years (and I still use it sometimes). This thing is a beast in a tiny package. The image quality is really good, the camera can fit in your pocket and you get all of this for such a low price. A very underrated camera that not many youtubers talk about. Very happy I came across your video :)

Good review because you didn't concentrate on nonsense like test charts for corner sharpness etc. These lenses are art tools not scientific instruments. I have the Contax/Yashica Zeiss 50mm f1.7. That's a bargain lens. I recognise some similarities from what you describe. However, the 1.7 seems to have different colour rendition from other Contax/Yashica. I have the 28mm f2.8 and that's got much more vibrant colours, especially green. That's a great landscape lens. I have the Zeiss Distagon ZF 15mm f2.8 but 20mm is a favourite focal length of mine so I'm thinking about getting the ZF 21mm f2.8 next. One thing I love about the 15mm is extremely good rendition from strong light sources. You can point directly at the sun with great results. I don't think any other lens renders skies like the 15mm. The extreme wide angle, great flaring control and typical Zeiss micro contrast make it phenomenal for atmospheric skies. Another nice Zeiss wide angle is the old Jena Flektogon 20mm f4. I don't like the much praised Jena Flektogon 35mm but the 20mm is unique. It has some flaws. Colour rendition is not that great, it's low contrast, build quality is shaky and it's not super sharp but sharp enough. Where this lens excells is in black and white architecture shots. It has virtually no distortion and great 3D pop with beautiful monotone shading. Hence I'm thinking the 21mm f2.8 ZF would be good. I doubt it will have as much 3D pop due to more elements but the other problems would be improved and it should have the same very good flaring control as the 15mm.

Interesting. I remember when these first came out that they were only in a couple of mounts (not L) so I didn't pay much attention. But looking it up these lenses now, they do come in like a 6 mounts nowadays. Pretty darn attractive image from Lumix+Nightwalker, at least to my eye.

Really cool. Is 40mm the widest you can go without vignette? Or was a vignette visible in the uncropped 3:1 aspect ratio and when you crop it to 2.39:1 it's mostly gone? Would you recommend a 50mm lens instead?

Is it worth it to get 12G for S1 compared to internal VLOG? I worked with dng 12 bit files on canons and wonder if the BRAW footage is that different from 10bit vlog .I downloaded some of your tests from recorder but its hard to tell, which means i think its not that big of a difference colorwise.And you cant recover highlights in raw panel

Is Continuos AF work with Lumix s5ii?

I got one Zeiss 50mmF1.4 for creative shots and a Milvus 50mmF2 both are used for woodland photos. I also have the Zeiss 35mmF2 and the Zeiss 18mmF3.5 for landscapes. I have the Zeiss 100mmF2 macro but I have not tested it yet. I use them on Nikon D700, D800E and D850.

I bought this for $225 during early pandemic and it was my first taste of Fujifilm! I love the compactness and the ease of use. I don't mind the AF because I'm a slow shooter and I now also have the Ricoh GRIII and the AF difference isn't that huge! I have faster AF cameras but they are too heavy for me. The only thing I don't like about this is actually the film sims, I can't seem to find the right recipe for me, they all look smudgy and digital. I stick with RAW and just use LR to edit in post.
