Both Gukesh and Ding seem like really nice guys. It makes the match much more pleasant to watch compared to some of the dour characters in previous world championship matches.

Regardless of the final result, I think Gukesh can be very proud of how he has performed up to this point. He’s made Ding work very hard to defend his title every step of the way. Hoping Gukesh can clinch the title!

I dont really feel as tho he deserves it. He was a clear favorite, always has good opening ideas but never converts them. In this sense, it feels like Ding is superior when it comes to pure chess performance without timepressure and the problems that Gukesh manages to create, seem to be induced by his team.
@nathanbell2601
@nathanbell2601 Күн бұрын
@ It’s hard to say on that last point how many of these ideas are purely coming from Gukesh’s team as opposed to him coming up with them, himself. Converting advantages against an opponent like Ding can’t be easy, either. He defends better than most other top players, imo. Personally I’m still very impressed with Gukesh doing as well as he has at his age. No one his age has even made it to a world championship match before, and the score being tied by game 14 is pretty wild. May the best player win!

@@dragileinchen1485 Pretty sure especially the world championship match has been majorly impacted by the teams crated by the challenger and champion for the last couple decades. Creating a good team is also part of being a world champion these days. Just like someone running a marathon world record depend on his team, his trainers, multiple runners for pacing, good shoes and so on.

@jonathanbade don't care. You Africans did not face the level of discrimination the American blacks have/are.
