Just saw this video and really want to try it. Unfortunately, the Glutino product you mentioned has canola oil. And another pretzel bag by the same company says it has palm oil. UGH! I can't seem to find an oil free pretzel anywhere. Any other suggestions?

These look wonderful! I'm making a carob version for Valentine's Day. In answer, though, to Ann's open-ended question: It is ALWAYS better to have more frosting than cake.

I make a taco meat out of either walnuts or pecans made the same way except I take a can of salt free lentils and drain and pulse them in the food processor then I mix the processed nuts into the lentils. Heat on the stove together. Very tasty and more substantial. Lowered the calorie density by using the nuts with the lentils too!

I recommend using parchment paper on the sheet pan. It is much easier to clean after a spill than with a Silpat, especially when something sweet is added.

After watching this I promptly bought Meyers Lemons and made these. You weren’t exaggerating how delicious they are. The crust is great and the pie filling is so yummy. The frosting, omg, can’t wait to try the other flavors now.

I so adore this group!!! My husband tried to get stents as prescrbed in 2020, but was told his vessels were too blocked. And then told he needed a triple bypass and valve replacement. He tried his best to conform to this diet, but started feeling weak, so he added small amounts of fish and steak. The VA only offered the surgery and no other alternative. We ate oats, spinach mixed baby greens, broccoli, roots, flax seeds , chia seeds, etc. He was a disciple, telling everbody about this diet. But, my husband passed June 24, 2024 at home in his sleep. I am just now able write or talk without drowning in grief and tears because I miss him so much!!! But thank you for the years we did have together after his diagnosis that I feel your diet made possible.

MMMmmm! These look delicious! As in SUPER delicious! 😋 But there's no way Doc Esselstyn would approve of these tacos. He's famous for his no-nuts and no-avocado stance, due to the high fat content of both.

I am 80 years old - I had a very active life regularly Running, Gym Swimming and now walking every day (and get slightly annoyed when people pass me on the track🙂 just kidding but I am jealous) I have for decades had taken supplements which I thought is all you had to do. Despite never eating fast food I thought our families diet was reasonably wholesome - WRONG Meat & Dairy it turns out as you suggest is toxic - In short I had "a heart scare" a year ago. I bought your book Dr Esselstyn and initially I thought I can't do this but I quickly came around when I discovered the medication for lowering BP was a much worse option. It's been challenging adjusting to a completely new Plant based diet but what inspired me most was KZbin video like this and the your family's food recipes because I can see how genuine you guys are in helping everyone "see the light". Keep up the good work - You guys are amazing !

The 8.7 million species never took any synthetic unregulated supplements, to get an omnivore human to consume a plant type herbivore diet you must first get a sanguinivore to become an algivore and then an algivore to become a detritivore and then a detritivore to become a carnivore, and then a granivore to become a xylophage, and then a xylophage to become an osteophage.

You two are the absolute BEST! I adore watching you because of your humor and your expertise. I love especially when Ann squeals and kind of screams with childlike delight over how everything comes out so perfectly! Lol. And everyone should treat their mother as wonderfully as Jane does.

These walnuts with the seasoning are a game changer. I made it and ate it two days in a row I loved it so much. Plus, the walnuts are so satiating that I hardly wanted to eat the rest of the day.

I would never have thought plant milk plus mustard (etc) would even work. But it is my favorite! (read it in your book) Thank You!! I think it is b/c it leans toward "creamy" type dressing.

I make something similar but with added chickpeas. 1:1 ratio with the walnuts. I also add some nutritional yeast. I bake my mix at 375 for about 20 mins. We love it!
