Please tell Dr. Esselstyn, he advised my husband in Des Moines, IA 13 years ago, and he's been compliant on his plan all this time, and he is still going strong. He was 49 years-old when he had two 99% blocked arteries. We had six boys living at home at the time. Now they are all grown up and we have four grandchildren. My husband works out at the gym with our 22 y/o our sixth youngest child and can keep up with him! We owe so much to Dr. Esselstyn and your family.

This Thanksgiving I will be coming up on 7 years on the Esselstyn diet post heart attack and multiple 75% blockages and severe angina. I lost my excess weight, eliminated my angina, eliminated migraine headaches (I used to have several per week), and have gone from being sedentary to going on 20 miles of trail runs per week. I am 59.

I am so, so thankful to Dr. Esselstyn for his studies and his guidance as I, too, embark in the most wonderful journey of all: being in control of my health. Forever in debt🎉

After seeing the documentary Disease, Reversal, Hope my husband and I went totally WFPB. He had stints a few years prior, so we were very concerned about the ramifications of heart disease being his dad died from a massive heart attack at 35 and his grandfather died at 45 with a massive heat attack. My husband will be 65 in September. We started the WFPB lifestyle in November 2023. About 3 months ago our Dr was amazed at his labs. She gave him a huge A+ and a star sticker for his shirt😂. To say that we are believers of the health benefits of a WFPB lifestyle is a understatement. Words will never convey how thankful I am for Dr E and family along with Dr Campbell and Dr Ornish. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and changing lives.

I love you all ! Thank you so much for these great videos, they're really encouraging and inspirational. I've just ordered the Warrior Woman cookbook ☺️ I've loved being WFPB vegan, it cured my gallbladder and allowed me to avoid surgery (I was in the ER for it too !) but I wanted to go home and try your way, so they loaded me up with antibiotics etc., told me I was crazy and that I'd be back. That was 7 years ago now. 😊. I also cured my NAFL disease with my diet change. I love eating this way and will never go back. Thanks again 🙏💕

I really needed to see this vid today….to help me reorient and discover, again, plant based. Alone and and struggling with health and lack of resources, it seems insurmountable sometimes to do the basics, but watching you guys breeze through easy peasy delish recipes (watched two cooking vids from you prior to this one) and then hear about 80+ yr old ppl managing and reversing heart disease, well, it is inspiring and I think a touch stone sent by God to me today. Ty for living well and sharing truth. God bless.

Thank you so much Dr Esselstyn, Ann and Jane for taking the time to share these wonderful stories. Speaking as a retired nurse I think this is exactly what people need and want to hear, when someone receives results of investigations that confirm they’re dealing with serious issues they can feel totally overwhelmed and helpless. Hearing these wonderful stories will offer so much encouragement and hopefully people will feel empowered to take control of their own health as opposed to being a passive participant and accepting that medications and / or surgery are their only options. I love your You Tube channel, it’s so informative and fun! 🙏

I love hearing about these success stories. I wonder if there are stories about people improving their sleep following WFPB diet? I am struggling with poor sleep.
@cheriy87504 ай бұрын
I am not fully WFPB yet but seriously cutting back on sugar has helped my sleep and lowered my anxiety level. I also had to finally admit that even decaf coffee has too much caffeine for me so I switched to decaf tea and noticed a difference in just a few weeks. I am sure that following a WFBP SOS diet would help with sleep issues.

I am 80 years old - I had a very active life regularly Running, Gym Swimming and now walking every day (and get slightly annoyed when people pass me on the track🙂 just kidding but I am jealous) I have for decades had taken supplements which I thought is all you had to do. Despite never eating fast food I thought our families diet was reasonably wholesome - WRONG Meat & Dairy it turns out as you suggest is toxic - In short I had "a heart scare" a year ago. I bought your book Dr Esselstyn and initially I thought I can't do this but I quickly came around when I discovered the medication for lowering BP was a much worse option. It's been challenging adjusting to a completely new Plant based diet but what inspired me most was KZbin video like this and the your family's food recipes because I can see how genuine you guys are in helping everyone "see the light". Keep up the good work - You guys are amazing !

The 8.7 million species never took any synthetic unregulated supplements, to get an omnivore human to consume a plant type herbivore diet you must first get a sanguinivore to become an algivore and then an algivore to become a detritivore and then a detritivore to become a carnivore, and then a granivore to become a xylophage, and then a xylophage to become an osteophage.

Case studies are not sometimes interesting and helpful: they ALWAYS are. And interjected with the science of earlier artery damage compared with calcified scarring is very revealing to us laypeople. Thank you, all three of you stars: The Crazy Ladies and the Not-Mad Scientist. : ) Seriously, though, here in Richmond, Indiana, by way of Los Angeles (an almost life-long WFPB champion, thanks firstly to Dr. John McDougall), I do not know which of you ladies is the craziest. Super nuts in all the extremely best ways - your videos are a hoot (as they say here in the Midwest) but your cookbooks and culinary talents and achievements know no peers - they are incredibly EXCELLENT. I have the two, Woman Warrier and Reversing Heart Disease Cookbook, in spiral binding and I love them. Unfortunately, the huge drawback is no matter how easy or how delicious, SOMEONE has to actually make the food. Other than morning oatmeal (kitchen sink-style - everything in there), all I do is work so I live on nuked potatoes and canned Bush's baked beans. But my hubby makes a good salad for me for dinner and the ONLY dressing I eat is your 1-2-3. Good lord, that makes itself. Anyway, someday I will cook all the recipes in there. In truth I have made several and they are wonderful. Of course the videos to support the methods are a great companion and I did buy the pan you recommended and love it. Anyway, sorry so long - keep up the good work!!! I love you ALL and Jane's funny hubby, too (the best cook in the house).

My husband accidentally reversed his atherosclerosis lol. Was told in his 40s he had "average" atherosclerosis. We went plant based at 52. I initiated that and he went along with it and embraced it. 2 years ago he, after 5 years of veganism, he had all those tests done again. Come to find out his pain was from old scar tissue from a surgery in his teens. The thoracic doc and the cardiologist were blown away. He had almost no atherosclerosis any more. The thoracic doc was in his 30s and said that husband's pipes were cleaner than his. Cardiologist gave him clean bill of health but said he has never had a patient who reversed atherosclerosis. Husband said he owed it to plant based eating. Cardiologist wishes others would do the same but majority don't want to change what they eat or try new things.
