Dear Yvonne, i’m trying to get all toxic products out of my house. Is there a list of ingredients that should not be in your shampoo and conditioner? And plastic in never ok, even when it is only use for cold products, right?

what can you tell us about Dr. Bronner's Pure-Castile Bar Soap - stated : does not contain any toxic ingredients because it is made from natural oils and does not contain synthetic ingredients. The soap is EWG Verified, which means it meets the Environmental Working Group's strict health and safety standards...thanks!

Hi Yvonne, I’m also here from the Diary of CEO Channel! Thank you so much for the work you’re doing. I’m really struggling to find alternatives perfume free… most of my products are from the pharmacy and natural shops but still… Do you know any reliable UK products lists or resources? What do you think about the Yuka app? Is it trustworthy? Thank you 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Is Ilia really a clean brand? I'm finding conflicting information For ex their Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40 on EWG's website has all ingredients from a 1 or 2 in green but then it says "Cancer moderate" in yellow.

Thank you so much! I just subscribed and can’t wait to dive into your incredibly informational videos! I also ordered Xtrema pans using your promo code, which added a 15% discount on top of the already discounted Black Friday prices-thank you for that! I’ve been searching for years for truly safe cookware and often felt misled by marketing strategies or overwhelmed by all the technical information. I was initially considering the Always Pan or Caraway, but after learning that these can scratch and eventually become sticky, I decided to follow your recommendation for pans without any coatings. We had already switched to cast iron and had chosen enameled Crock-Pot from Amazon which were affordable, but I always doubted whether they were truly safe when scratched. Now, I feel much more confident with the Xtrema pans. I’m also planning to switch out my cooking utensils. Right now, we use inexpensive silicone tools from the dollar store, which work well but might leach toxic particles due to their low quality. Lastly, I wanted to ask about cutting boards. I currently use ones from IKEA, but I’ve noticed they are made of glued bamboo pieces, based on the pattern, which makes me question their safety. As a vegan for over a decade, I chop a huge amount of vegetables daily, and this has started to make me worried. What kind of cutting boards do you recommend? Do you prefer untreated wood or another safe option? Thank you !!

I canceled my Xtrema order bc it's made in China. Vermicular passes the CA Prop test, it's made in Japan, the quality is so much better. The Masui Kamado is a caste iron pot, rice cooker, induction cooker all in one...and def not made in effin China

I rely on third party accredited lab testing to form safety judgements instead of making sweeping judgements about where a product is made. Xtrema tests every single batch of cookware for cadmium and lead leaching and posts the reports on their website for everyone to see. Both their glazed cookware and the unglazed substrate exceed strict California Prop 65 standards for cadmium and lead leaching. This means that even a scratched piece won’t expose you to lead and cadmium above safe levels. This is the data that removes concern from my perspective as a Toxicologist.

Just curious...what is your opinion on these studies that claim essential oils are endocrine disruptors?

Hi I started working for Westman Atelier recently. We talk about “safe” formulas a lot. I was just curious about your thoughts on the brand as a toxicologist. I’m very curious. Came over from Diary of a CEO. Thank you for what you are doing. I’ve started changing my choices and my life because of your help ❤

Hi Dr. Burkart. I heard of you for the first time today and am extremely grateful for that. Do you think that perhaps in the future you would ever consider coming out with an app where product barcodes could be scanned to check for ingredients warnings and tips? Even if it’s a subscription-based app?

Thank you for sharing this valuable information. I've been using organic cotton tampons because my body couldn’t tolerate conventional ones. I also have one pair of period underwear, but I’ll stop using them now. Is there a video on estrogen dominance? I developed a myoma before turning 30, and suddenly I started experiencing acne as well. It seems there might be an underlying issue. I’ve been able to reduce my acne for most of the month and eliminate visible inflammation by switching to organic skincare. That’s when I realized just how toxic many products can be. I’ve also had countless other conditions since birth, such as asthma, neurodermatitis, and hay fever, so you can imagine my body is even more sensitive.

Would love to see your opinion on dishwasher rinse aids and how their chemicals impact our health. Outstanding interview on DOAC btw!!
@dryvonneburkart5 сағат бұрын
Thanks for tuning in! This is a great question. Evidence suggests that certain ingredients in dishwasher detergents and rinse aids contribute gut damage. One study states, “The alcohol ethoxylates present in the rinse aid were identified as the culprit component causing the epithelial inflammation and barrier damage.” I’ve got a few dishwasher products linked on my website. Here’s the link to the article mentioned pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/36464527/

It depends in what form. Dry, powder is not ideal from an inhalation perspective, but likely not an issue in eye shadow since it’s applied over a small area.

@dryvonneburkhart Thank you, Dr. Burkhart! One question, why leeching iron from the cast-iron cookware is a problem? In modern society, most people are all iron deficient. Wouldn’t it be just an additional source of natural iron?

Just one down point, after watching this video it feels a bit hopeless, , as it seems whatever you cook with is gonna make you sick anyways. I watched this video after watching her on the diary of the CEO, was so happy about already using stainless steel and iron cast pans, and now totally thrown off and overwhelmed, since they are also not good apperantelly :( this video gave me a feeling of impending doom, since whatever we do we still breathe eat and drink all kinds of shit despite the efforts
