He’s been non existent in the last 6 games. 0pts, -11 in 15 mins of ice time. He isn’t playing well and not helping in any way. He was demoted in the khl a few years ago as well.

He hit a rookie wall like every 99% of rookies do in all sports. This is a rebuild so i couldn’t care less if the Flyers make the playoffs this year. The goal of the first 2 years of a rebuild is to get a high draft picks and play the kids to see who will be here for your future nucleus. Instead this organization always does it the opposite. We are a bubble playoff team so we will get a mid first round pick again (the Oilers and Avalanche picks will be late first round). And we have a coach that is alienating his players and won’t even be here in 2-3 years when hopefully the Flyers are ready to compete. This organization is a joke and has been for a decade + now making the same mistakes over and over.

@ There are 21 other players on this team that don’t give a crap about a rebuild. You believe they go out game in and game out to lose? I highly doubt that. You can blame the coach all you want but there isn’t one player in the league that wants to lose and to stay in this league you better be doing something to help your team. Hit, block shots do something. Go ask TK if he’s ok with losing while Michkov does nothing.

Couldn’t be more wrong on torts he’s obviously the coach for this team and he’s legit made this team watchable. Omg he benched a 19 year old for a period he can’t communicate with words so he has to bench him get over it

I think tort isnt paying enough attention to how which goalie is in net impacts the lines. Regardless of which goalie is better, i think Michkov plays better with Kolosov in net. Same for Tippet and a few others

I completely understand limited bad play and bad habits. Correct them early. Although limiting ice time can result in a small sample size. Scratch the kid next time, dude went on a tear after.

Maybe Danny B should bench Torts for several games and see how he likes it. Too many head games with the young players. How can the young guys play relaxed, without fear of being humiliated by Torts? All he does is kill their confidence. Yes, Michkov is struggling a little but let him work through it instead of punishing him. He just turned 20 years old for God's sake. Mich will learn the NHL game over time, be patient. Fire Torts now!!

I do not like, and never have liked, Tortorella as a coach. He is a mediocre coach, bottom line. He won a Stanley Cup 20 years ago, and in his last nine seasons he has coached a team to exactly one playoff series win. One. As Bill Parcells said, you are what your record says you are. The Gauthier thing, we have no clue why he didn't want to come to Philadelphia, but he is probably looking at Michkov getting benched and thinking "good call". Not a great sign from this coach. Time to move on, he is not the coach that will take them far in the future.

He only benches and scratches him on the road. Let’s see Torts scratch him at home in front of 17,000 season ticket holders. That’s why this whole ‘punishing’ him is ridiculous, as he won’t do it when the Flyers play at home.
