Don’t waste your money on this bumper. It’s so weak that I can’t carry a 33” spare. So I don’t carry a spare and it’s so weak that I can’t even use the 2” receiver. I called EAG and asked them if they had any kind of extra support brackets to help hold the bumper up and they said no. I told them that they need to engineer something better because it’s dead weight that serves no purpose. One of the biggest wastes of money you can throw away

Two part question But I just purchased a new UV-5R and followed the steps everything worked perfectly. But now I’m the radio isn’t talking like saying “frequency” when I power it on nor is it giving me my “custom” welcome when I power it on. Is there something in the settings I need to change to fix these? Is it true that I won’t be able to transmit on any of the channels now with the new radio updates?

Would it be the same for a Grand Cherokee? Same engine.

Got a 1995, in the same position crank/no start. It sat for a year or so before i got it. So far i have replaced the distributor and rotor, fuel filter, fuel pump, fuel pump fuse, new battery (old one was doa), and all 6 spark plugs. Even though all of that didnt work to start it still needed it. A pretty hard newbie over here, anyone got any ideas?

Thanks for the installation video. A body shop installed bumper during a repaint of my grandson's XJ. We need to pull it off and check the install as the rear bumper is very noisy going down the road. Rattles like crazy and sounds like it is going to fall off every time you hit a bump. May be that it is just too heavy for an XJ to handle or could be slop in the construction of the swing out bracket, but we need to make sure it was installed correctly. Regarding the license plate, we were able to drill and tap three 1/4-20 holes in right side of tire mount for a license plate bracket. Worked out real well. The third brake light is clearly visible above the tire, so there was no need to add an additional brake light. Enjoyed the video. Great job. djbnola
