scaling up insects is useless, they will not become smarter, they dont have circulatory system, they get oxygen to their brain by diffusion and its limited in its physical capabilities to exactly the size they already are

For the past 30 years, scientists have investigated whether the human brain might require quantum processes to achieve cognition. Shanghai University submits yet another piece of evidence to the neurological court-that one particular process of the human brain exhibits behavior akin to quantum entanglement, a phenomenon when two particles (usually photons) become inextricably linked even across vast distances." Our sun being the major source of photons, do we sit in a narrow band of consciousness that only allows our brains to operate? Limiting our travel into outer space. Lending to the idea we might be stuck to only our solar system. We might benefit from an ant experiment shot out into space such as Voyager program.

Thanks I’ve done a lot of research on these. This has really helped with my Little search. Thanks a lot. I’m thinking of keeping them. I recently heard their some in Australia and there’s nobody in Australia who does stuff like this on specifics so thanks🙂

Just what I needed and more...excellent...shared with 8,600 people, trying to teach defense of home rather than obliteration on sight. Please be VERY concerned about introducing non-indigenous ants into new areas...study your native species of ants. Introduced species of ants can cause massive and cascading harm in locally diverse and distinct ecologies. Research "crazy ants" to see how major the problems can get.

What size glass bottles did you use in the video? I bought 10ml but I think I bought to small. How many ML are the glass bottles in your video and was that big enough to house all babies?

Ants and wasps completely change the future of humanity. Agriculture and Farming was their idea. We also learn how to do pottery by watching wasps make small containers made out of clay to place their eggs in. I believe that accidentally someone may have places a clay pot near fire and when the clay pot was handled or broken, they notice that the part that was placed near the fire was actually stronger.

BIG HEADED ANT! ... yeah~ evrything is relative, isn't it? I do have Messor and Camponotus. Both are giants. Even the frist messor started where PP's stop. And Messor got Mayors with colorful heads to crack seeds. I got one after 2months :D I imagine if those ants would meet in the wild it would end up with a very one-sided massacre. Especially vs the Camponotus which got acid at their disposal :x Though i also got ACORN ants. Similar size give or take 0.5-1mm and my god its hard to stop them from killing themselves. Drowning is their favorite and they try to escape any chance! Taking care of any ant race smaller than 3 mm in worker size is an art and not for starters. The big ones have no way to squeeze themselves through 0.5mm cracks.

3:55 there is even a study about their tandem rum. Distance does not affect their success rate but a more experienced runner does increase its chance from 75 to 95%ish. Just one thing you gotta take care of: they will drown super easily. 5:05 about honey. The *water it down* thing is a MISQUOTE FROM A PROFESSOR. He used to water it down cause he had to overlook 100 colonies and this way he could use a surringe. Ants do NOT need honey watered down. Its merely convenient for serving it in water dispencers and whatnot. In fact: giving pure honey is ideal since it can never ever rot until its all used up.

Here is a question how to hibernate a queen that has zero workers left alive by the time it's due hibernate. A queen that has produced but all were weak and failed to survive. Is she worth the effort or is she doomed?

Well done!!! I've been watching Ants Canada for years and I've learned quite a bit from his videos but I've learned more from this ONE video than what he tells the 'AC Family' in an entire year!!! Maybe more!! The truth is, when I found his channel it seemed to be mostly academic, now however, he has become more theatrical than academic!!! THAT STINKS!!! I don't tune in to watch some dang ant soap opera!! That's what we get every week though! I've gotta say, I found this video because I just found ANTS in the house and was curious to know a bit more about them! You just earned another subscriber my friend, GOOD JOB!!!! KEEP ON THE SAME PATH AND THEY WILL COME!!! DON'T SELL OUT LIKE MIKEY!!!!!

i love these guys. invasive ants, i can not stand. but the big black ones are so chill, little buddies, they just walk around cleaning up like helpful little friends and all they ask is that i avoid stepping on them when they're patrolling around here 😅 even if you pick them up they are pretty chill, they try to bite you but not in a mean way and they're not very strong. they just kinda look around like ok let me go now lol and they run off.. they just want to chill and eat bug parts. i'm always careful not to hurt these little dudes.
