I’m just curious, does Meeden use Chinese produced cotton for their paper?

Hi Ann! This was a very refreshing take on an Autumnal wreath. I particularly loved that you stamped your circles using your colour scheme - attempting to paint circles is, I believe, the bane of most artists. I was chuffed that something you spotted on Instagram turned out so well for you. I suspect I would have kept going with those beautiful orange leaves and ruined the entire thing. It is so true that less is indeed more. You stopped at the perfect moment. Like you, I'm not very good with pretty handwriting, and so I love it exactly as is - splatters and all 😁 I had a chuckle to myself at your nano-seconds deliberation on whether to splatter or not. You my friend, are the splatter queen! When I attempt a splatter, mine looks like I had an unhappy accident 😂😂 Whilst yours are simply finished to perfection. I must give this a go, if only to keep me laughing at my wonky version and "paint spills" for splatters 😂👩🏻‍🎨🎨🖌️🥰

I began with synthetic brushes and moved to natural hair as I improved my brush control...synthetics that are not too soft are easier to handle than the natural hair brushes for beginners.

I really like the NicPro watercolor tubes they are alot better formula than this solid set . The solid set does have beautiful colors though.

Thanks so much for suggesting your beginner playlists, so far I’ve done the lemon and the cloudy sunset. I skipped the rabbit because it looked like you needed a proper white. Mines on the way so I’ll go back to the rabbit when it arrives. My lemon looked amazing, ink and wash is by far my fav way. Sunset looks better than most others I’ve done. 😁😁🤩

I’m very new to watercolour , I just bought MEEDEN tubes as an upgrade from a super cheap palette. I’ve been loving them compared to the cheap palette and I can see the difference in what I’ve painted

Cork definitely looks cool, but I wonder how resistant it is a material for something like this.

It's cute, shame it has lavender as I'm allergic, the scent won't get out of the cork in a hurry 😕

Interesting product, and one that I think goes well together as a whole. Perhaps making a lovely gift for beginner and artist alike. Now for my admission. I use meditation every day, but specifically to help me sleep more peacefully. So, you guessed it, I kept nodding off and jerking awake as my head lolled 😮😂 That’s just me though and in no way detracts from the product. I wish Viviva success in this as I use watercolour colouring books to relax when upset, or in too much pain to cope well. The difference being, I don’t couple it with meditation - and now I know not to do such a thing!! Who knew!! 🤷‍♀️ Excellent video Ann, you showcased their unique product very well indeed. Thank you for promoting the fact that artists and non artists alike can benefit. 👩🏻‍🎨🖌️🎨🥰

As pleasurable and relaxing as I found this colourful video, I’m afraid I missed your chatting. I kept thinking that I ought to hear you either laugh or sigh each time your hand found yet another colour to attach itself to. Basically, it’s just not the same without your wonderful personality dotted throughout the colour my friend. You and I share the clumsy hand trait, but at least we have an excuse of sorts. Michael Harding Watercolors are one the best out there! I have their Quin Coral, Quin Gold and super intense Phthalo Blue Lake! Every time I use them, I say WOW!

I recently received this portrait palette, and I agree - when I swatched the Perylene Crimson, I said Wow.

I have quite a few tubes of Isaro (currently unswatched 😳). I love that you showed them off in the way you did by using larger swatches, helping to demonstrate the full tonal range in each. I agree with you re that yellow, especially when you put down your glaze - it really popped off the page, at least it did on my iPad screen. I too preferred it to the almost greenish neon look of Lemon Yellow. I can imagine you will ind it both a wonderful mixer and stand-alone colour. As you said, it’s such a sunny colour. You mentioned Bockingford at the beginning. It is indeed made by St Cuthberts Mill. It is of course a cellulose paper, but considered to be the cellulose equivalent to Saunders Waterford. Many full time UK artists work only with Bockingford as they find it to be very easy to work with. Naturally, I imagine price has much to do with it. I love the colours you chose, and will attempt to find my own tubes, then if I should have Ultramarine blue, burnt sienna and any other different ones, I will fill a full pan for you and stuff it in one of the packages. A very enjoyable video, despite my arriving very late to the party! 🎨🖌️👩🏻‍🎨💜

This popped in my YT today. These are really good colours, love this chart. They are.excellwnt mixers, no muddy colours at all. I have a few of Jackson's watercolours but not as many. Your chart is a good inspiration tonfind new colours to the collection. BTW, I heard Jackson's is now shipping out of Maine. Making charts is hard, i have messed up more times I am willing to admit 🤷🏻 You also have a very warm, comforting chatting style and it is so nice to listen to you. Thanks @artonthecreek!

I have a 12 set, great paints ... however, there's no substitute for a Burnt Sienna even though that other long name one is good. Too many reds and no mid browns. Nice review.
