I have a few questions, can you watch KZbin or Netflix while you drive? Does it work with iPhone and CarPlay? Is there a demo video showing these items? Does it automatically go into dark mode in the evenings so it’s not distracting?

I have a problem where audio will play from phone, but if I connect it to hot spot to play KZbin/any other app it will play video but has no audio come out. What do you think is problem?

I have a Chevy Silverado Trail Boss will this load and say GMC, or will it say Chevy? There is only 1 option, and the website says it's for both trucks or is it getting that info from the main computer on truck?

This video was great. Theres a few minor details left out if your truck has the Alpine system or was "navigation ready" but they were pretty easy to figure out. It appeared to me i had some RCA inputs that went to nothing labeled sub, aux2 and something else I forget. But on the factory 8.4 there are no RCA inputs like that. So i concluded the factory Alpine amp and sub must run through the primary radio harness. Currently it seems like i was right. I did have to go into Car Setting and adjuat the settings for the factory amplifie but it sounds great currently. I also had 3 plugs. 1 is covered in the video, as the XM antenna and isnt used. One is the FM antenna. It took me a minute to deduce the 3rd (yellow...if i remember correctly) my truck came navigation ready. All i ever had to do was activate my subscription which i never did. It appears its the factory GPS antenna. It doesnt fit the new unit. But the kit comes with its own GPS antenna. So non issue. Tucked it away with the XM antenna. Everything seems to be working great right now.

How do you go about changing the screen saver on the modern style Home Screen? Amazing product btw and even better costumer service! If you were thinking about buying this product and wondering if it’s worth it, it definitely is and rest assured Alex and everyone at workshop12 will be available to assist in any way you need! I would also recommend not going through nifty city to get this product as they were completely unprofessional and I waiting 6 months just for them to cancel my order and not even get me my refund. I had to file a dispute with my bank.

The product and support was amazing. We have a 2011 GranTurismo Cabrio and the Workshop12 CarPlay unit is amazing! I was concerned about installing it myself, but Alex does such a great job of explaining every part of the install process, I felt more comfortable doing it myself than trusting a random install shop that might not watch Alex's video. The difference is transformational and works great. Couple of install notes: on the Cabrio, there is a screw next to the cigarette lighter plug. When pulling up the center console, it was stuck and I had to separate with the plastic tool and yank it hard. 110% happy with the result.

Do I need to get my own SIM card or does it run off of this unit for the android auto and Apple CarPlay? And what about the data regarding the Internet functions? Also, can I add an aftermarket subwoofer with this unit?

I was a little confused .. So after the unit is installed you can listen to Spotify or KZbin music but not the normal radio stations in your area? I didn't hear you say that or demonstrate the normal radio function.
