FYI for workshop users and also the alibaba users, for the back camera to work you NEED to do the 2 steps of joining the 2 Brown wires together and actually moving the RED pin wires as he showed in the video. skipping one of those will cause "No Signal" when going in reverse Mileage might vary for you, but this fix should work mostly for NAV + BOSE + REVERSE CAM packages

I don't know that I'm getting the best deal considering I'm getting a box full of harnesses that likely don't go to my car, so they are trash to me yet I'm sure I'm getting charged for them anyway. Not sure we are at the stage where a 300 dollar tablet (given it's "specs") and some wiring is worth it even with the video call.. I appreciate the support, not many do that but I'm sure the ordering can be streamlined to not require so many useless wire harnesses and maybe lower the price point some.

@@clarkdavid79 all car stereos come with 1 main harness....the one to power up the radio and connect to the speakers. No matter what you (or your installer) will have to purchase the vehicle side solution needed to connect them. Could be a $10 harness or a $250 bypass module. Everything else that comes with a new stereo is for the peripherals like GPS microphone 4g antenna and are not specific to any vehicle.

Yes, however it would be easier to plug in a camera to the RCAs attached to the kit as the camera would pop up on the screen once in reverse rather then having to use an app.

why no screws at the bottom? you pushed the unit in with the factory trim above the ashtray and it seems like its flopping around. why not just use the screws at the bottom? this and the gloss black seem janky to me. looks like it never actually seated.

on my infiniti fx35, everything works perfectly except when i turn the volume pretty high... it gets super distorted, wasn't sounding like this with the stock radio. Any ideas? I went into thr settings and change it to Factory AMP but the sound was REALLY REALLY LOW after, but i didnt mess around with the EQ after. I tried changing the factory settings on 35:59, but it wont let me... i cant move them up or down,

Id suggest messing around with the EQ settings. As that's what we do before sending out the G37. Unfortunately i can not give you specifics. Good luck

@@WorkshoptwelveConnect Thanks messing around with EG worked but slightly... i was told that "the BOSE amplifier is outputting audio through the audio cable, not through the CAN cable, which is why you can't modify the stock amplifier settings"... i dont know what that means.... but i also noticed that while my reverse camera works, when i'm in reverse, i was told that i can see reverse camera in the Camera App without doing reverse but when i launch the app, nothing shoes, just a black screen. overall, i'm happy with mine. just a few, slight issues. I did not attach the brown cables in 37:19 like you did not sure if i was supposed to.

How do you go about changing the screen saver on the modern style Home Screen? Amazing product btw and even better costumer service! If you were thinking about buying this product and wondering if it’s worth it, it definitely is and rest assured Alex and everyone at workshop12 will be available to assist in any way you need! Nope! The only light you would get is the Airbag light but that would only happen for the following two reasons: 1) you did not disconnect battery when installing the unit or 2) You connected the airbag plug into the incorrect plug. Regardless of the airbag light on or off you can simply reset that light :)

I do see you already answered a similar question, stating "Our system just piggy backs off of your existing stereo so the audio quality will be the same", but if that's the case, at 11:28 you said "Now that you removed your cd player and main stereo" and you never put it back into the dash. I am sitting here ready to order but that is my main concern. Thanks.

So in the case for the G37 our system piggybacks off of your Bose sound system. So it'll sound exactly as your Bose system sounds. If you have any other questions id recommend sending us an email at [e-mail] to get a faster reply.

Black Friday sales for the G37 will most likely be the same sale we have now. The screen resolution for this kit is 1920 x 1080. The kit does not lag and the audio quality is crisp as it has a 16-band EQ to fine-tune your sound.

I just bought a kit from merge screens and they recommend this video for installation. If I do run into any "issues" or questions, can I reach out to your team for support? I have a 2012 G37, the Screen unit looks a little different than the one in the video. the box on the back of the screen with the connections are at the top of the unit next to where the fans go
