Beautiful model kit and fantastic build! I am going to start my own build, but I cannot find this seat belt in my box. Is this seat belt comes with the original kit? BTW, my kit is the original release of this model. Maybe the seat belt is a new part for the re-issued new kit?

In this case I airbrushed it because I needed to keep the outside part of the rim chrome and you have more precision with the airbrush over the spray can

This is a nice series. I can't believe it's 5 years old. I like that this builder is actually building in real time. It takes some good editing to keep things moving while still allowing the audience to enjoy the process. Needs more directional light at times but very enjoyable.
@TMModelkits
@TMModelkits Жыл бұрын
Thank you. You are right; editing the whole thing was always time consuming and right now time is short, and sometimes I really forgot the camera was rolling while I was building, maybe that can somewhat justify the lack of good lighting from time to time. I really want to start posting videos again, but it's not easy

@andrewsandoz8005 - I had the good fortune of building 2 of these Fiat GP cars and have to take some issue with you saying they are one of the worst 1:8 scale kits. I bought the first one when it was released in 1966 or '67 for about $100.00. I built it and later gave it to one of my better marine insurance agents. A year or so after that, I was gobsmacked to see it at K-Mart for $30.00! Turned out the importer for this kit went bankrupt and unloaded them to K-Mart. I did a much better finishing job on this model and it sets here under plexiglass as I type this, some 49 years later. Back to the quality of the kit. None of the Pocher kits were what I would call high quality, and I have built 5 of them over the years so am quite familiar with their sometimes poor fit problems. The ONLY issue I had with the Fiat GP kit was the beautiful and realistic chain drives didn't rotate the wheels? Very strange, but not a deal breaker in my book. Everything else fit like it should with no warped panels, etc. Their instructions were sometimes a bit confusing, but keep in mind that this was a small, family operation and obviously they had some limitations as far as quality resources go. Pocher got me started on 1:8 scale kits so I have a historical fondness of sorts for them. Hornby of the U.K. bought the name, and still has problems with providing accurate, clearly printed and logically sequenced instructions. Even after they "corrected" them, they still had errors in them. I currently have 2 Agora models from the U.K. and they are prepainted, diecast bodies, frames, and suspension and significantly better instructions. It's too bad you didn't make an effort to complete it because it is quite unique in 1:8 scale - no other maker has anything like it to my knowledge! While times have changed in 49 years, some things also have and some have not changed.

Always excited when I find something on YT about the Pocher building. I have four of them waiting for me. But sadly, you have the spoke hubs installed the wrong way around. I know, I´ve been there, resulting in taking a wheel apart to corecct it. It is a great challenge to build an old Pocher model, but quite fun!
