Thank you so much for this wrap-up. I am fairly certain I won't be using the cab-tilt mechanism, for the same reasons you mentioned. And leaving the rear brace free to remove makes a lot of sense. I plan to take photos of the engine in the chassis in case I have to permanently mount the cab to the frame. You are correct regarding Italeri kits. I have yet to build one that didn't require modifications to the fitment. I'm learning to refrain from any painting or assembly until the last possible moment in case I have to cut/remove/modify something in some way. Your Chimera looks wonderful. When I build my 4-series Scania I plan to paint the wheels in a dark color, much like yours.

Many thanks It all comes with experience, after going through a lot of head aches with some brands, you learn to expect things to get hairy so you don't rush it I got so used to that kind of behavior that even with brands like Tamiya, I tend to check everything prior to painting

Very nice job! I watched all five steps videos, and I tell you, you are an excellent modeler. I joined you with a subscription and look forward to watching. Thank you for sharing, and have a great day. 😊

Thank you very much my friend. For now I don't have much spare time to provide new content, but hopefully that will change in the near future.

Very good looking & realistic model. Thanks for the 'heads up' regarding the fitting of the parts. I find it incredibly frustrating when parts simply do not fit together! Its annoying that you cant tilt the cab to reveal all the incredible work you did on the engine. Well done & thanks again!

It's just a matter of being patient before assembling, sometimes it pays off instead of going backwards to redo everything. I still can see all the detail; I just need to remove the whole cab instead of tilting it :)

Despite your fit issues it looks Fantastic!!!! Nice Work!!!!

Thank you Michael. Italeri always has some fitting issues, but nothing dramatic

Stunning build !! Im building the Itareli Scania R730 streamline consentino. Atm im working at the cab. I found also some parts not fitting well, or some ‘gaps’ and holes are not good pre drilled. But i can already say its a good kit.

Thank you. It is a good kit, but not stunning. But looks good in the end, and that's what matters

Hello! They have given me a model of Scania Italeri, could you recommend the tools to be able to assemble it and tell me what paint I need, and when painting is it with a brush or with an airbrush? It is the first time that I do one, if you have any advice you would help me a lot! Greetings from Spain, excuse my English.
@TMModelkits3 жыл бұрын
Well, if it is the first time you're going to assemble a model kit, this one is pretty hard for someone starting one. Of course you'll need some basic tools such as a knife, side cutters, glue, tweezers. My models are all painted with an airbrush, leaving the brush for painting smaller details. For the paint, it is Pearl Beige, and it is available from Zero Paints and from Firescale colors

@@TMModelkits hello, do you apply any product before painting? some primer or gloss for later? Do you recommend an airbrush for me? The pieces I suppose that when you are assembling them you are gluing them with glue, right? sorry for so many questions, I don't really know where to start ... thank you very much, your models are perfect.
@TMModelkits3 жыл бұрын
@@leonidasespartano1322 Feel free to ask... Yes, always prime before painting, and always clear coat ( if the kit has decals, I clear coat after applying the decals) If you want a good glue, use Tamiya extra thin, it's a miracle glue

@@TMModelkits perfect, thank you very much, you recommend some brands to buy, brushes, tools that you usually use, I want to try to do it well so I would like to use good products, thanks:)

@@leonidasespartano1322 There's a lot of good brands out there, it would be selfish of me to recommend only the ones I use, but I think it is common sense that brands like Tamiya, Mr. Hobby, AK Interactive and so on and on are very good ones. You have a lot to choose from. But more important than the tool's brand is a steady hand and patience

Can't fault the build but like so many of these constructions you stick with the bog standard one fits all rear hub which is rarely correct for any....just sayin.

The kit has so many incorrect things in it, I guess that's just one more

You complane on the model but you did a few mistakes like wrong side front fenders. That is why there is a gap between front an rear fenders. You didn't paint the interior with is unprofessional. And last if you can't grab the model don't build it again. You are a modeler or toy collector?
@TMModelkits3 жыл бұрын
I'm sorry but i don't agree with any single thing you've said. First thing is the front fenders; they only have one position, if i was to put them in the wrong side, they would've been turned inside out. Second, the interior is all painted with tamiya german grey with some black areas, só I don't even know where is your complaint based. Third, if I can't handle a model to move it somewhere else ( like a exibithion) then i'll point that out as a problem. Finally, did you actually build this model or are your assumptions based on your limited experience as a modeler and just decided to rant here without even building this kit once in your lifetime? Regards

@@TMModelkits sorry waist of a time . You are absolutely fantastic and model is wrong (sic!). Take care.
@TMModelkits3 жыл бұрын
@@mariuszb9036 Never said I was and never said the model was completely wrong; it has it's flaws like a lot of different models and I try to pinpoint them so If someone else decides to build one, they know what they will encounter. Btw, did you know that the engine is completely wrong, it's from an older scania
