What do you put in that clear plastic “greenhouse?”

Can you please make more videos about garden planning? I don’t know how to group my plants together. Your videos are the BEST!! And you don’t tell us to go buy a bunch of expensive things, like all the other KZbinrs!! I really appreciate that!!

It looks fine but the accuracy of results is below 95% because the organic fraction can be present in all layers. How ever, the method is accurate easy applicable, fast and cost effective.

This is so sensible and logical. Unlike myself, who wants to plant nearly every single thing! Thank you for giving me a framework to figure it out!

I tried this once. I smeared the inside of the tub with butter or cooking oil, above the beer line. I was told that this prevents them from climbing out again after they've drunk the beer.

Compost is the real winner. Sand is a big no no.

Uncontrolled Variable in the drainage tests: Some mixes more easily clog the holes in your buckets, confounding the drainage tests.

I've heard that you should not use grass (greens) should not be used if they dog feces. In my yard, we let the dogs lose. So when we do the lawn we don't use the clippings. I don't know how accurate this is, what is your suggestion?

You can't see how slug pellets work. The slugs usually go underground to die. I even saw one 'blue' slug in the soil still apparently healthy, so the poison seems to be slow-acting.

You missed a trick here. You should have had one more bucket with soil amended with sand, gypsum and compost all together. Clearly in this test compost is the best, but because it is so airy, light and still capable of decomposing more, if you use this mix under a new lawn is there the possibility that the lawn might settle unevenly?

Thank you for the scientific based research. I bought the traps and use beer. I have seen videos of using yeast mix but too much work. So now I am running a pub for slugs and slugs for worms. I reuse the beer, no not for drinking, for the slugs.

In the "for what it's worth" department, I saw a time lapse video where a university tested beer traps. It was eye opening. Yes, you may catch and drown a few slugs, but easily three times as many came, drank and left.

I add a little sand and a bag of compost and a bag of garden soil together in my garden cart, it is the best combination for my garden. I use it when planting or transplanting and all of my flowers are doing well. I even mix it into my clay soil. I do not grow vegetables so I cannot comment on that but my dahlias and roses love a little sand mixed in.

Stamp down your soil around your brassicas (ie) make sure the soil round the roots of the plant is HARD stamp round it with your feet Otherwise the plant may bolt. Also keep out of heatwaves- otherwise plants Bolt Gardening is TOUGH WORK
