I’m an ER scribe. Most of the happy docs have outside hobbies and don’t let being a physician be their only “label”. Do you find that true for other specialists and in yourself? I’m starting to realize being a physician turns into another job after a while and the politics of day to day medicine gets repetitive and daunting. In probably captain obvious but thought I’d get your perspective

I'd say it honestly depends on the person. I am in no way an authority on the matter but from what I know it depends on who they are and what they can handle. Some can handle high unpredictability and high stress, and some can't. Some love the label of being a doctor and some want more. Overall, I believe that some are happier with outside hobbies and some just love being a doctor.

On another note- don’t know if u have a video about this or not but can u make suggestions about presenting a patient to the surgeon attending etc? @@drbuckparker Hello Dr. Parker. You made a video about N95, how they do go bad. But I have a problem, maybe you can advice me. I have been using the same N95 mask for 12 days. So on the 11 day of using the same mask, I was out and about for 6 hours. On day 12 of use, I had the same mask on for 4 hours doing outdoor stuff in the hot sun. My journey began on Nov 19, for 6 hours. They again used the same mask for another 4 hours in the middle of a hot day on Nov. 20. On Nov. 21, morning. My chest was compressed and I felt a bit of a burn in my nose. It is December 1 and I still have some shortness of breath and my nose is stuffed up, I do have a some shortness of breath. I have been with a stuffed up nose but my nose is dry. I don't have any simple of the covid like coughing, no fever, no pains, no shakes, no diarrhea nor did I lost sense of smell. I can taste just fine and my sense of smell is just fine too. But again I have some shortness of breath and stuffed up nose. But I have not once had a runny nose. I have been feeing this way since Nov 21 and currently now. It has been 11 days now and I still feel the same. I tried to get an doctor's appointment but they all seem to be booked up around my area. Could it be the mask or could it be covid... What would you suggest or what you could advice me?
@NarutoHigh1603 жыл бұрын
@@HiThere-du4up I would definitely say it's the mask buildup. Wearing masks for too long cause respiration problems, especially if you are doing a lot of physical labour or reusing the mask. I am in no way a medical professional although I aspire to be one (Neurosurgeon to be exact) but I do have common sense. I am guessing you haven't cleaned the mask or haven't done it properly, and if you use the regular white and blue masks and reuse them that is also bad. To put it simply, don't reuse masks,(Also haven't dealt with N95 masks) but if that isn't an option sanitize them properly.
