that’s an awesome idea! I think it would be informative into diving why smaller saas businesses fail. There’s case studies on some of the bigger businesses but pin pointing certain smaller saas’s and their failures could be more applicable to us/smaller founders

Totally agree with the way you do sprints. You should be able to reward yourself by finishing work early you get to have some chill days. I find that sometimes it feels illegal not to do anything so keeping a 'lucky dip' pool with random tickets to keep myself busy for the rest of the sprint is good 😎

Hey Ryan, do you take help from GPTs for coding logic / or UI design . Is it bad to use GPTs frequently , although it helps to complete the task rapidly fast ?

Btw Ryan, are you working on notibly full-time or u do a job -work parrallely ?
@ryanburryy8 күн бұрын
yeah i use chatgpt all of the time, i’ve been trying to use it more as a tool to learn because it’s easy to rely too much on it, but at the same time it’s not going anywhere so if it can speed you up i don’t see anything wrong with that, just make sure you’re understanding the changes it’s making etc. for UI design i work off of inspiration, but also have been doing it for awhile so you start naturally developing your own style. and yeah I have a job right now so i’m balancing both at the moment

I would like to add a feature like resources management: e.g. Let's say, I am a frontend developer, and I find some inspirations, an icon library, or anything useful for later use. I think there would a pannel, like a folder in our system where I just copy the resource link and go to the category and hit paste or ctrl + v then it will create a card with a title then below it a delete button, an open button to open the actual web site, then a drop-down menu with all categories means if I have to change the category then click the drop-down and select a category then it will move to that category. It is most likely a file system for resources but with better UI UX, like I found something, came to my dashboard created a category and hit ctrl + v. Also, I can create multi-level categories and a search on the front of my dashboard to query any cards.
@ryanburryy12 күн бұрын
yeah i like this, i’m assuming you mean for notibly? there’s something on the list for a library tab which would be for resources or readings etc so it would definitely fit well there for sure
@nocoffeecraft12 күн бұрын
@@ryanburryy Yeah, it's for Notibly. I think this feature will greatly help users. Also, I have a new feature for to-do list management.

Is the issue that youre talking about because your session would be classed as a third party cookie when you start changing the domains? Might be worth a read around
@ryanburryy12 күн бұрын
think so yeah, i think there’s a way to specify what domains to allow, but the issue was just with how since localhost isn’t a secure “domain” it wasn’t allowing the cookies to persist or something like that. that’s why mkcert pretty much fixed it

hmm that’s interesting, tbh i was just looking at similar apps in the space and they do subdomains so I went that route. do you know if allowing users to set their own custom domains would work without their own subdomain?
@Itstechwithjason20 күн бұрын
9:18 so basically domain A won’t share cookies with domain B unless domain B is a sub domain. But then you’d have to ask urself, well, how does Google do it? Since they pass cookies all the time. They do so through headers e.g set-cookie header or through bearer tokens
