Great review! I’m currently traveling in SE Asia. The Nebula is crushin’ it as my EDC …huge value for the money.

My chest size (42-44) warrants a large, but my height won't be able to pull it off (5'5"). By the way, what pants are those at 8:21 ? Thanks

The Quest is for backpacking with a heavy pack on at times challenging terrain because they absorb the weight on your back and offer much stronger ankle support. I won’t wear these for car camping. For car camping and hiking without a heavy pack, I use the Ultra.

hey, does the bottom part has the same slick PU coating? i found that my yellow/green transporter 65 has no coating on that bottom part, or better say - it is inverted and the coating is on the inside. i wonder if i got a faulty unit.

I would not call it the same, there are too many vital differences missing. Also, Superior Fleece since moved to an order window system. So I would recommend checking out Lightheart gear if you’re still after a melanzana hoodie alternative. Etsy might also have similar creators, not sure why that site isn’t recommended for hiking gear fanatics I found some decent alternatives with light browsing there.

They run small. I'm a 12.5 on the Brannock device and the 13 is just a bit too small in length. If they made a 13.5 I'd buy another pair, they were that good. The outsole is good for dry terrain. Yet, the compound of the lugs is so hard that when wet it will just slide on any hard surface.

Can Coulee25 carry 16.5in (35.5x23.5cm ) laptop as daily bag? I understand Coulee bags don’t have individual compartments for laptops, but I am wondering if I can stuff laptop inside main compartment. If not, what other bags I should consider carry laptop with. I don’t want to buy a bag just for hiking outdoors purposes, want to use it to travel. Thanks.

are these the relaxed or tapered cut? both show "straight" so trying to figure out which ones you have as i prefer a more tailored fit vs baggy but im like you and have thick rear and thighs so pants tend to be too tight.

These are my all-time faves! I wear them for hiking, running, and even everyday use. I've owned over 10 pairs over the years. I now need a mid or high boot for hiking (ankle support), but I can't seem to find one that fits me like this Xa pro. What I like is the support it gives my whole foot, without being rigid, and they really cradle my narrow feet/heals ( I do use insoles for arch support too). I can be in these shoes for hours and my feet dont get tired and def no hot spots. Can you recommend a high or mid boot that might fit me like these xa pros??

Strangely, they advertise it as trail running shoe, but it's actually a much better hiking shoe than Salomon Ultra 4. These have a normal hard midsole which allows you to walk on hard and rocky terrain with no problem, while the Ultras are just too soft and you feel every tiny stone with them.

I've actually narrowed down my options to this one for a trek in Nepal (Langtang Valley). I pronate a bit, suffer from a bit of Achilles tendonitis and don't want to lug around heavy boots. Do you reckon I'm on the right track...no pun intended.

After watching your Review, i bought the same boots yesterday for a good price in Munich/Germany. Today i went for a 10Km hike in snowy and rainy conditions with around 0 Celsious. Fantastic boots, nothing to complain about it. Usually i wear the EU size 44 in this case the best fit for me was the 45 1/3 (Winter= thiker socks)

I have been running sense rides for about 5 years. You must be a real lightweight to get 2 years out of that style salomon sole. Mine are slick after 3 months at 190 pounds.

So I like wearing my boots everyday. Through 4 seasons. To work and everything in between. Also the occasional hike, outdoor range day and maybe a day hunt or 2 a year but not too many overnights. Between these two, which Do you recommend. (I’m used to wearing military boots like the Garmont T8)

Hi! how has your experience been since 3 years ago?! Honestly, I can't really decide between RipRuck24, 32 and 2DAP! for taking to work the 24 sounds good, however look a bit limiting and restrictive in case I ever want to travel with it, the 32L on the other hand looks like overkill for EDC but good for travel, and the 2DAP is a whole other story and design. Appreciate it if you could let me know of your opinion and experience.
