You don't allow comments on the Terence Young clip in which he talks about Fleming, so I'll post this here: Terence Young was so besotted with gourmet meals himself that he projected this onto Fleming's books, failing to notice that Bond's normal fare when not on the road was quite prosaic. He was also wrong about Fleming and Istanbul--Fleming is known to have gone there to cover a meeting of Interpol in 1955.

Thank you for pointing out the chess flaw. I was looking at that going, wait, he isn’t mated. He still has moves available. Curious error for a grandmaster’s tournament.

When you have no money, you have a certain Drive to get that money when you’re born into money that Drive is normally not there. She is wealthy enough as it is there is no Drive to want more. She is probably just wanting to slow down and focus on family.

A new documentary feature by Benjamin, damn it looks very promising! He always delivers🤩- unlike EON! 😮‍💨Can´t wait to see the full feature in 2025! Will there be a pre-premiere in Brunswick with special guests? 🤣

In original prints of the film and early VHS releases in the 1980s, a cable can briefly be seen lowering the exploding helicopter to the ground. The cable has been digitally erased in subsequent releases starting with the first run of DVDs. Still the greatest Bond film.

Everyone, plse keep in mind tt this movie was made in 1962. Who cud hv predicted tt Bond would B as famous as the Beatles in the 1960s, and beyond. Goldfinger is my favorite Bond movie, along with the song. Hugo Drax was Bond's most dangerous enemy.😊

I remember seeing a version with a white-coated technician clearly visible during the helicopter scene, seems to have been edited out in more recent TV showings.

I never caught any of these continuity flubs. Of course, it was a Bond film. No time to look for them. Mindless entertainment.

It is true that in the chess scene, the game is not over, except that the opponent resigns. This is because he sees the continuation that he faces, which is a sure loss assuming his opponent plays correctly for a few more moves. There is a YT video which looks at the chess game more closely, it is based on a famous tournament game.

How about when Bond punches the chauffeur who drove him from the airport. He started his punch with one hand and finished it with the opposite hand.

In LTK, Dalton-Bond is walking outside when a DEA agent catches up with him. The DEA agent tells Bond about the break-in at Sanche’s wear-house. As the two walk and talk, some a-hole in a brightly colored shirt walks past them, going left to right on the screen. Then seconds later, the same “tourist” walks past them again in the exact same direction. It’s really annoying.

A stunt “dooble”? A”tow” as in “Towel” rope? I have never heard anyone speaking in any English accent say that. I hear ridiculous AI pronunciation in KZbin videos every day. Of course I could fix that as English pronunciation has been my sspecialty as a university lecturer since 2007. But who is going to pay me to do that?

Thank you for taking the time to share your observations. As someone raised bilingually, I strive to maintain clarity and precision in my speech, though minor pronunciation variations occasionally slip through, as is natural for any non-native speaker. These subtle idiosyncrasies are part of what makes this channel distinctly human in an age of increasingly AI generated, automated content. I hope that, while these moments may stand out to some, the passion and authenticity behind my videos remain the central focus. Your expertise is, of course, commendable, and I appreciate the engagement! And since humour is always very important to me, speciality is written with only one 's' :)

The hat can be explained. Once Bond goes into M's office, Oddjob showed up, realized he was two movies too early and hung around a while practicing his throws. "Stunt dooble"? "Tau rope"? Someone should make a youtube video about the goofs and mistakes in this narration.
@TheBondBulletin

It’s true that the occasional linguistic quirk emerges, especially when navigating between languages. Such nuances are, in fact, what make the narration distinctly human, and they add a certain charm amidst the usual polish of online content. Perhaps there’s room for an homage to these imperfections-though, I’d hope the focus remains on the content itself.

Not a continuity error but a cringy sartorial faux pa, when Bond inspects the violent aftermath at Strangways, he enters the room and fastens the bottom button on his suit jacket!

It's what makes them even more charming to me. Even with the highest level of care and precision, these things just happen. That's why it's always a joy to have a peek at the goofs section of an IMDB film listing

I always thought the Tarantula Scene, which clearly shows it Crawling On An Arm, then cuts to Sean Connery/James Bond moving his arm in fear while the Tarantula is obviously on a Transparent Surface, Crawling in A Continuous Pace rather than moving with the Arm. It's an obvious Goof.

You should be hired as a continuity expert for commercials and movies you are great at this I thought about doing this after watching a commercial where things moved around but nobody was interested in the 1980s congratulations you do a great job I love watching continuity problems
