Ever since I fell in love with Eddie and the Cruisers, I've always wished I could have seen John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band and see the guys that really did all the wonderful music for the soundtracks. Oh yeah!

All I've ever wanted is to play great music. So I quit playing music for 20 years because 1 guy didn't like it, even though the 1 year I spent actually playing music is still being listened to by everyone else. Yeah, that checks out.

A lot of themes and scenes in this movie came from the book , Eddie and the Cruisers by P.F. Kluge. In the book a reporter was looking for “the lost tapes” of Eddie Wilson after a resurgence of their music. The reporter was a man (changed to Maggie Foley) in part 1. The whole part about Wendell’s group and the Church (as seen here) is from the book. In the book I believe Sal showed up at the Church to confront Eddie about not including him. The Eddie Lives mystery was part of the book as well. The dialogue from the scene where Eddie/ Joe is taking about Jersey and why the statue of liberty faces the other way is also in the book. Other differences were *Eddie died in a car accident but NOT driving off a bridge. * Eddie was in fact, dead. * Sal saw Eddies body thrown through the windshield but later realized he never got close enough to make sure it was him. *Wendell was a guitar player! *Wendell did not die in the book but was an old man in a facility with Dementia. *Eddie was married! Joann was a mistress! *in the book Eddies car was I Think, a Ford Fairlane, In the search for the missing tapes in the book, people were murdered! That’s right, the book was a rock n roll murder mystery! *The full name of the band was Eddie and the Parkway Cruisers. If you’re a fan of both or either movie, you should check it out.

The fact that critics didn’t like this movie is crazy. I know it want some big budget release, but Sal’s performance here is great. He goes through the 7 stages of grief instantly and it shows…

as an old sax player, I had to laugh when hilton played. His fingers were never pressing the correct keys. Other than that, a pretty good film. Think the songs in No.2 are better than the original. Just my opinion.

When my husband and were on the road with our band i danced with guys didn't mean a damn thing. We are retired now since 10/12/23. we have been married 45 yrs and still going strong don't take life so seriously or the time will pass you by. Have as much fun as you can while you can.

the acting was great as he realizes EXACTLY who that was in stage impossible as it was! No one plays and sings an original song exactly like another person. Forget where and when you are. forget what you think you know. What does your ears and your heart tell you? Who does that sound like? If you had to stake your soul on your answer in your heart of hearts. THAT emotion with one look. Now Credit to Micheal for his acting what John was singing!! Wowza.
