If u read the manual there's 2 ratings for the amp 1 at 12.4 volts and 1 at 14.6 volts. It's 1000 watts at 12.4 and 1200 at 14.6. It's very clear in the manual that these amps needs lots of power to produce the wattage. I dyno'd mine closer to 15 volts and I got 1221 watts certified 1328 watts to clipping and 1446 dynamic. But I had a very consistent 14.7 volts. So these amps are good amps but require the power

Really odd an amplifier with the same design as some other boards with plenty of capable fets and massive toroids wouldn't be able to create a few thousand watts. I've seen amplifiers like these beat the crap out of subwoofers, with obviously much more power than old American 300 watt amps did back in the 80s. I realize the current it's drawing dictates how much it can create, but something seems to be missing. How would a manufacturer give that many components and only create a tiny amount of wattage? I own several high end American made amps from the 90s and they create what they claim, but their components have nowhere near the capacity of a planet audio 5000.1d I have on my bench currently and by the logic of this l video the 5000 should only make around 500wrms. That's pretty weird. 😂

can you do a test on lower voltage . my is going to protect mode . and i think is voltage going low . stock alternator and battery, with a big 3 upgrade.. ty

My passenger door doesn’t work at all unless hot wired, the locks don’t work properly, and the auto down only works intermittently. I’m excited to see if it’s just the switch/es, that would be really nice because I don’t wanna mess with the wiring in the driver’s door. I’ve already repaired the passenger harness and the driver’s side has had some repairs done in the past so I hope the wiring is all good.

Man… thank you thank you thank you. I’m installing an Alpine X308U into a 2007 F-150. The company that sold me the equipment said the ford factory’s antenna…. I just plugged in the factory antenna and it works perfectly.
