I inherited a 2001 lexus rx300 from my co worker 2 years ago - he was having electrical issues with it and was going to send it to the wrecker. I took it instead and sold my financed car and started fixing the rx300. Found and fixed a parasitic drain in the wiring from the back hatch to the dome light and fixed that. Intermittent misfire with flashing cel and throwing codes for coils 1, 3 and 5. I'm having the exhaust manifold dropped today to have the coil packs and spark plugs replaced and also have my throttle body and IAC valve cleaned. If this doesn't fix it - it's an injector?

Cool. Thanks. They fascinated me since mid-1960s when I first saw the garbage man riding their truck up the street. I always wondered about the compactor inside. I've seen movies where someone gets killed by being thrown into the back of a garbage truck and compacted. Obviously if it wasn't full of trash there would be room since it doesn't go flat up against the wall. LoL probably the drop into the truck would show you a lot quicker. Does it also tip up like a dump truck?

😮did this naturally good advice cheap way to diagnose any car. Inkist replaved alternator and 4 ignitioncoil packs battery. Forgot i peft 2 unplugged running all kind of codes. Watched this refreshed myself found 2 bad coils. Got less than 100k on this car happy to have it back.

I got a misfired code but after I did this by unplugging and plugging the coils I got multiple malfunction coils codes.

This guy is making 40 min job to be 4 h 😂 wth 🤦‍♂️ 😊

2 things...Decent spark plugs do last last longer than 40k. Older plugs that still function have minimal effect on preformance nor lead to bigger issues. Second mechanics deserve to get paid and most do not take advantage. People just dont understand what is involved to properly diagnose and fix a car and therefore dont understand what they are paying for.

The problem with this video is the fact that it does not show exactly what the EGR valve looks like.

Would be nice if you actually showed us how to do it instead of pointing to it and say that’s what you need to take out then next shot showing it laying on the floor and then say that’s how you do it. Also the lighting could be brighter.
