I'm about to do one on a case 680G Did you drop yours out of the bottom ? My shop manual shows the motor being pulled to get it out, but it looks like it can be pulled out of the bottom to me.

Looks like a 71 or 72 series Borg Warner trans.

Hello I have a 1988 case 580c backhoe. I was told I could Buy a kit to convert shuttle shift to automatic or hydrostatic. Do you know if this is possible?

Shuttle shift is automatic..... It's got a torque converter, forward and reverse. Your speeds are in the manual transmission behind it. Your only other option is a manual transmission with a clutch. You do NOT want that in a backhoe.

If it is y 580C it will not be a 88, should be 75-80, maybe 81

Anyone have an idea why a Case 680K wont go in Low gear but works ok in 2nd its 3 speed Transmission fluid is clean and full and tach needle is burried but not RPM related just buried inop

AY! this Borg warner shuttle is a real bull shit, alway burn the front disck ,as you dispaly in the video,Oil heat low pressure and the incredible axle ring seals that loose the oil press into the best solution was the use of metalic disc not the fibre type ,run a l time more when ever not ruin the planetary system or the converter seal
