Nice video. You are right about the water: don't drink directly from streams. Except when your higher than the meadows where cows graze. But it is safer to always carry a water filter.

Same goes for thermal crust in Yellowstone, except what you fall into is boiling water.

Fantastic sceneries. I have been there twice in the past 3 years, and I'm still fascinated by this landscape.

I love Switzerland but the area out of Zermatt near the Matterhorn is pretty developed. Don't expect to get a remote feel (unless you were to hike out to the glaciers). There is always a gondola, a hut or other structure in view.

Great shooting. If it's not a secret, could you please tell me what camera you used to shoot your videos? I'm looking for a gift for my dad for his 70th birthday. He'll be happy to receive a camera that can do such high quality. Thanks in advance! And I'm waiting for your new videos. They're all great.

Excellent video! Do you think this hike is okay in December for two senior citizens? We are both in very good health. I know at 3000+ meters I cannot hike uphill without pausing every four steps to catch my breath. But downhill I'm fine. My wife is in excellent health.

Hey there! This looks glorious and thanks for making it so detailed for the rest of us. Did this stage have any dangerous bits such as exposed edges, parts requiring ropes/stepping on metal bars, or rocky areas which should not be climbed when slippery? Or is the difficulty mainly the amount of uphill/donwhill you need to do? Thanks!

Thanks for the insightful video. Some great footage and useful information! (I think the balance between music and talking is just right here btw) I'm heading to Switserland myself this Summer and have booked an additional 2 days of travelling just to visit Oeschinensee when I saw a still image of this place. After seeing this video I believe that was a good choice :) can't wait!

Hello, I have a question. I am traveling with my husband from USA to Geneva in September 24. I am trying to plan our trip. We wandered to spend 22 days in Chamonix, Zermatt and Interlaken. In what order do you think is better with money and saving time. Thanks

Nice video . The hike is not technical , but is extremely tough . (Especially if you carry 10kg bag and it’s hot ) . You need to be fit to do this . The climb takes 3-4 hours and not everyone is accustomed to such prolonged physical exercise . In addition is useful if you don’t suffer vertigo in r have been on exposed mountains and ridges before . If you are worried about the exposure you breathe harder making physical effort worse . All in all , as long as you are fit a beautiful and not technical route .

Hello, I am also planning 5 lakes hike next week. I have downloaded 5 Lakes Walk brochure from the Zermatt website in that broucher names of the 5 lakes are Stellisee, Grindjisee, Moosjisee and Leisee but in your video none of them is mentioned. I am bit confused now am I looking at some other route or you have been to some other 5 lakes hiking trail within Zermatt. Can you please tell me something about this ?
