Your video just help me a lot. It was forwarded to me by a friend because I complained about a booktube that I follow from 2022 just sad she is "uncorfortable around people that buy J.K. Rolling books and merch" and that made me angree because as I see it she is calling me a bad person and preching me how I need to act while I see that I do suport her because I watch her channel because of her channel and not because she is trans or not - I like the CONTENT and don't care who she is- But I CARE ABOUT MY BOOK COLLECTION aka MinaLima Edittion will stay on the shelf. So THANK YOU because you explanation allines with my view of NOT CARRING WHO WROTE THE BOOK that I like or dislike. It is all about the story between the pages. Thank you for reading my rant.

I don’t even feel like this should be considered a coming of age story because Jane is this smart and confident girl since the very beginning and I feel like if this book was really that type of genre she would make the mistake of trusting this guy and then move on with her life. Instead because this was written in the 18th century the story wants to share to the female readers the Christian value of forgiving who did you wrong because everybody is flawed in their own way, which really fits with Jane’s morals but when it comes to us gen z and millennials readers it sounds like the old fairy tale where the woman needs to nurse the man and avoid confronting him for his past behavior towards her. The fact that he never said sorry to her speaks volumes.

I found the trickster series to be the best I found the trickster series to be the best of all universe I found the trickster series to be the best of all universe though I have hopes for the numare chronicles. On the other handOnce I got to high school the Lioness books lost there appeal.

I feel it's supposed to be a more realistic take on the options a woman of her standing had during that time. So it's supposed to be kinda depressing. Our views of romance are different than what it was during those times. Back then it feels like romance is a luxury and people made best of whatver situation they had and the cards theg were dealt.

The book would have been good if it was fast paced. First 250 pages r boring.

I went into a Coles last week after submitting my application online. I browsed the store until other customers left, then I introduced myself to the manager on shift. I must've made a good impression because I have an interview tomorrow, so maybe it was just like that during the height of Covid?

Really late to comment but I just had to say that you did a fantastic job on this huge project, Emily. I enjoyed this so very much. For my two cents, I prefer biographies and autobiographies shelved by the person being written about and not the person who did the writing. I approach the biography section of a book store and I’m not looking for an author; I’m looking for the subject of the book because I don’t know the name of the author (unless it’s Doris Kearns Goodwin), and I want all the Abraham Lincoln books shelved together. Just me and never mind me. Again, a truly great effort that has really paid off. Your plants are so healthy!

The translator isn’t broken. She is the wrong side of the great vowel shift so the words aren’t sounding right. That doesn’t come across in the written form. Chaucer records people at that time not understanding one another because their language is a different side of the shift. Also I think you are failing to grasp the fragilities of the mobile communications network. The wired phone network is falling apart because the situation has caused it to run out of bandwidth. Any mobile network is long since toast.

Just out of curiousity, what's your opinion on the book Christine? Was wondering since you appear to be a major Steven king fan.
@draketungsten285425 күн бұрын
The book "Christine" is nothing special in my opinion. I've never felt compelled to read it more than once or twice. While the writing is okay, it's just lacking something. I believe King wrote this during his addiction period, so that may have something to do with it. No offense to him. I don't think I could've written an entire book if I was drinking and/or doing drugs. Still, it's not a book I held onto long term.

one point on the crow, although I think your points on the general symbolism are more likely: in The Stand, Flagg controls crows and seems able to shapeshift into or to possess them. Considering Walter is actually not really very present in the books I doubt this is the reason for the crow, but it’s an extra point of thought.

here's the deal - if you wanna do the whole "in-store vs. online pricing" in order to get yourself fired, stop placing the blame on customers for thinking it's ridiculous you'll argue it's cheaper to make us wait an hour for you to physically pick the item and bring it to the till for us to pick up that same day. Or, start advertising your in-store prices vs. online. Thank you.
