Apparently the back story to why this drama or controversy exist (some of it factual) is because doctor Fuhrman was pointing out and in a way exposing the the fact that even the best Vegan/plant based diet does not provide 100% of essential nutrients ( animals based diets clearly provide hardly any essential nutrients other than structural elements). Fuhrman was exposing that the Vegan diet does not provide enough essential fatty acids and some people convert omega-3s to DHA/EPA poorly and therefore supplementing DHA/EPA is as important as supplementing with Vitamin B-12. I don't see the big deal about supplementing with a Vegan DHA/EPA supplement and B-12.

Daves killer bread has sugar in it .i don’t like sugar in my bread . Ezekiel bread has no sugar and the grains are sprouted ,sprouting is healthier Ezekiel is organic also . I tasted Dave’s and I did not like it .

I am watching this as I eat a big bowl of Thai coconut soup I bought canned at an Asian market to which I added a big bunch of bok choi, tofu, mushrooms, and imitation crab. Delicious and refreshing. If you are a soup hater I strongly recommend you start exploring international soups. It's been a lot more than just soup, but I'm approaching 70lbs down starting from 310, and learning to love soup definitely has helped.

Dressings look great. That "3/4 of a cup of soaked cashews" that went into that single serve dressing is about 600 calories. I need to be real careful not to overload calories.

I do not snack on food that I’m preparing. It’s a good habit for it stops me from snacking on foods Anytime. That stops me from binging also!

I just blend kale and no fruit. I add a couple packets of stevia. It tastes fine. I want to eat my fruits whole not blended.

Don’t care to drink my calories so I don’t drink smoothies! I have oatmeal and fruit for breakfast, salad, beans and fruit for lunch and veggie soup , beans and fruit for dinner. It all taste great and I’m never hungry! Losing two pounds a week!

But Fuhrman doesn’t say that people have to do 100 - 200 cal exercise, everyday. He just sort of says exercise and sleep are also important.

Ezekiel bread I like for something toasted. A PBJ? Dave's white or rye. You just have to add different textures and sweetness to Ezekiel bread or it is a little strong and dry. Dress it up for great nutrition.

Yesterday I had lunch out at Himalaya vegan organic and I had the full plate. Yellow lentils, brown rice and quinoa, salad mix, collard greens,mixed vegetables, and all those blended as a soup, and blueberries.
