Jets look like they've taken a step forward from last year. It could be the year, where they go deep into the playoffs. ( GJG)

How we feeling Jets fans?
@andreimarsic6607Ай бұрын
Not great until we solidify our defense pact. Especially our top 4.
@KIYAMAZNАй бұрын
I think the only thing we need to fix, is our 2nd line C. Defence is okay, but we need to add another good defencemen 44-2 is okay (44 is carrying tbh) 54-4 (Samberg will drastically improve, but Pionk needs to go; we could get a good defenceman for 4) 6-52 (Miller needs to stay in the lineup, coglan could play or heinola. But Stanley shouldn't be playing)

I feel like Scheif and Connor have really picked up their defensive game too. We just need a big strong 2C and another solid top 4 RHD. I think if we put Pionk on the 3rd pairing and just use him offensively and on the PP it would work well.

Honestly I'm not so confident about this team going to the playoffs. This team has weak links and the organization refuses to fix them like Logan Stanley that's a big one, like not getting a true backup goaltender, like Appleton not contributing, Cole Perfetti and Namestnikov can be very cold. I very well see the Jets overpaying for a number 2 center again, and not upgrading the defense like they did last year. I even see them playing Logan Stanley in the playoffs like last year, like I'm sorry but the organization is that stubborn and some of the decisions they've been making in recent seasons tells you that they ain't gonna get it done come crunch time. I hope they surprise me but like last year and seasons past I'm quite positive disappointment will follow.

Need a legit C2 and backup Goalie.

Why? Comrie has been fantasic this year. Every game he's been playing, the team has left him out to dry.

@@jairobarrios3945 Nah 3+ goals against in every game he's played, it doesn't cut it bud.
@jairobarrios3945Ай бұрын
@@maahes7139 i would agree if he wasn't facing high danger shot attempts and facing on average 28+ shot attempts a night. Everytime he's played he's stood on his head keeping the keep close to the win. Anahiem and Colorado being the best examples where the team fumbles but he's stood out

Average 3 goals against for a backup is actually pretty dayme good. LB was just incredible last year
@pomerlain892429 күн бұрын
@@jairobarrios3945 This exactly. People are acting like Comrie's giving up 5 goals a game. He's keeping the Jets in games where they don't show-up. And in games like against the Ducks, are people really going to blame him for any of those goals, especially the goal on the Pionk giveaway in front of the net? He's doing the job. A back-up goalie is expected to give steady goaltending and keep their team in games. That's what Comrie has done. It's not expected for back-ups to steal every game. They just need to do a serviceable job and the team needs to hold up their end in front of him. The team has not done that in front of Comrie. Case in point, is how they allowed just 22 shots when Helly started against Nashville, but then the next night they give up 36 shots with Comrie.

Remember when team's top lines got a cool nickname like The Crazy 8s, The West Coast Express, The French Connection, the KLM, The Grumpy Old Men, The Grind Line, The Legion Of Doom, the Punch Line, Triple Crown Line. What do the Jets top line get? "The Jets Top Line". How about "The Usual Suspects"?

Was the legion of doom not the Seahawks defense?
