Can you tell me what products you use, shampoo, conditioner, gel..etc. I'm just starting out with trying to bring my hair back to life..lol. I find that when I use a conditioner after shampooing,it weighs my hair down. I wash my hair 3 times a month and just let it air dry. I have hair somewhat like yours. The older picture you put up in this video ( of you), is what my hair looks like now. It's still beautiful but,frizzy. Your hair in this video looks amazing!! Beautiful color too. Please help. For me what helps cleaning my scalp is using micellair water. I have been doing that for a year now.

I take frequent breaks from styling my wavy hair by washing, using a bond repair treatment, conditioning in and out of the shower, and micro plopping, plopping, then air drying after 10 minutes or so. I do this solely to check in on my hair health, and to keep myself from going berserk. 😝

In other words, we all have some sort of damage, most likely multiple forms as long as we have hair on our heads. I use a coconut based hair oil before washing and often use a damage repair treatment after I shampoo. I use damage repair treatments in multiple aspects of my hair routine.

I’m growing my hair but my hairdresser insists I should have it cut every 8 weeks?! She’s very experienced and not cheap. I’m convinced that it’s due to the 💴 rather than the health of my hair!

It’s interesting as my curls look similar to yours at the beginning of your curly journey. I’m wondering whether mine is curlier than I realise? How many ‘curl type’ steps did yours go up from the beginning to it’s current ‘curl type’ letter/number?

My hair just doesn’t stay after hair wash day. I have type 3A/3B hair. I think I need a bit of layers on the side.

What is the name of the green brush you have used? Also, what is the name of the gel you have used?

I tried using uncle funky curl magic and it’s a good gel very moisturizing but for the humid Irish weather it wasn’t a good enough hold! Tried this gel and my curl lasted a whole week, only thing is my hair felt extra knotty by the end so maybe more moisture needed underneath it 🤔

What heat temperature do you use cold or warm?

Just tried curlsmith and my hair looked stringy. Do u use the custard gel ever? I don't think it's strong enough. What hairspray?

I started my return to curl journey a couple of months ago, after a lifetime of heat styling and chemical damage. My hair is not in great shape. I have tried several methods and today I found this video. It was wash day so I watched and went to work implementing all the tips. My hair is obviously still damaged, but my hair is so much less frizzy. I am absolutely so grateful. I don't look like I stuck my finger in an electrical socket and I can see my hair battling to return to it's proper natural state. Can't thank you enough for such a detailed and explained video.

That struggle is real!! I wet that underneath area and add a leave-in or morroccan oil or curl cream and detangle. Also, another topic not discussed in the curly world is shedding… I only comb/brush my hair in the shower when I wash once a week, there’s always loads of hair in my comb and I’m shedding throughout the week like a big hairy dog!

I use a curl cream every day and my hair gets tangled. Have to detangle on shower every single day.

I recently purchased the UG Scalp Restore shampoo and conditioner, they are amazing! Also your tip about the Simple shampoo for clarifying saved me - I'd been using CGM-approved clarifying shampoos and my hair was SO upset with me. One wash with the Simple changed all that. Honestly I would have given up on this curly journey if it wasn't for your videos. Now I'm rocking those Botticelli curls! 💪
