The worst part for me has come from trying to find the right products that don't overload my hair and make it feel gunky enough to need to wash it instead of refresh it. Finally, this summer I found what works for me. I have all the right products and tips to make wash day last to day four. It is saving me so much time. I have fine, low density hair, extremely prone to frizz and have an oily scalp. My routine, products and cut really combat everything. It has taken years to get me to this point though! The struggle is real!

All of your tips are so helpful. I've also been watching the Blowout professor. It's funny though, I used to think you were referring to the back of curly hair being naughty, not knotty as in tangled! Using oil has been so helpful, and weightless cream and strong hold gel helped my curls to become more even on both sides with a little finger coiling. It's wonderful to see the transformation to healthier hair and what curls are capable of. Thank you so much! 🤔🎉🥳

I take frequent breaks from styling my wavy hair by washing, using a bond repair treatment, conditioning in and out of the shower, and micro plopping, plopping, then air drying after 10 minutes or so. I do this solely to check in on my hair health, and to keep myself from going berserk. 😝

Thanks for this video, it's good to come together and chat about all the different issues and experiences of having curly hair that we go through. I started embracing my curls during lockdown and binged on so many videos on curly hair it blew my mind. 3 years later I have learnt alot but will never have perfect curly hair as it does not exist, I am happy with my curly hair and learning hairstyles and techniques allow's me to adapt to however my hair decides to be on that day...whether frizzy, flat, knotty, stringy, stretched out etc etc....Thanks for all the tips and tricks over the years.😍

Thanks so much i can totally relate to these things! One thing that helps me with my curls is conditioning between washes. My curls come loose really easily so conditioning helps refresh them.

This was the video I didnt know I needed. I work from home and I'm lucky if someone sees my hair in person once per week. The pressure I feel that it has to be perfect if someone is seeing me is unbelievable! And the shame I feel sitting at home in braids because my curls arent "pretty enough" between washes? I shouldn't be doing this to myself.

I’m sorry you feel this way and I can honestly say I feel the same! Unfortunately I have a million video calls where I need to look really put together so I’ve prioritized creating a nice style for my hair over wearing it naturally curly. I think there are ways we can use heat to create nice styles without ruining our hair. I hope you find something that works really well for you too!!

I am grateful I am working from home because I get to experiment and no one sees me but family. I feel like it accelerates the learning curve because if I would be seen I would just do whatever I know looks good... which is generally straightening or an updo. Right now I look a mess almost all the time but it is ok because I am at home and learning!

I think most overwhelming is choosing what products to purchase.. curly girl method friendly vs ones with silicones etc and just spending so much money on things that end up not working .. frustrating .. feel like I’ve tried soooo many

I'd love to meet with a curly hair stylist. In my city in Ohio we have just about everything except a curly hair salon or stylist. We have pet massage that included water therapy. But, not curly specialists. I find it ridiculous

Great content! I've decided to embrace my natural hair 5 months ago, after 10+ years of chemically straightened hair. It is indeed a lot more work but I'm trully enjoying the ride! Thank you for sharing so much relevant information that has really been helping me.

Yay for being the first to comment! This was such a great video. I can totally relate to several of these topics. It does take more time to style curly hair but I look forward to washday because I'm constantly experimenting with different brands and products so that makes it fun. I turned 40 this year and thought this was the year to finally treat myself to a curly cut at a curly salon and it was totally worth it! It was a good investment because I haven't had a haircut I love in so long so I will go back in the fall for a trim. I've accepted the frizz more this year cuz I'm in Canada and there's been so much humidity that even the better gels haven't helped tame it so I've decided not to let it bother me. Love your content Hannah!

Thank you so much, I'm glad you enjoyed it! It's so great to hear you're finding it fun experimenting and that you're loving your curly cut :) It's been a humid summer in the UK as well so a bit of frizz is inevitable!

You should check out (I am Orlando James). He's got the most amazing long curly hair. This really helps. I usually hate my curls. I took scissors to it and cut it short. Now I kinda like it. I have the hair that every strand is it's own curl.

I don't think it is always about time, I went to the hairdresser, I have straight hair, it took them 10 mins to cut about 5 cm off my hair and they charged me 45 pounds. That's ridiculous for 10 mins of work when men are getting charged 15 quid!!

I don't often bother styling that seriously. Just a bit of cream is enough for being around the house etc. No-one cares what my hair looks like when I'm sat at an embroidery frame most of the day. #bunsareus! 😂
