If you're only tightening and loosening your grip, why does your *bow wobble* so much? Before you told what you're doing, I'd though that you mean vibrato by wobbling the bow; with your wrist, presumably 😊

I don’t really get the war between violists and violinists. They aren’t that different, the only reason violas don’t like violins is because of the fact that violins often get the melody.

I play viola and I’m very into fiddling and so usually I have to take things down a string when I try fiddle pieces which are made for violin. There really is a difference in sound because violins have a crisp E string. However the viola’s C and G strings are great for deep low rhythms.

I'm not a musician, to make it short, from my understanding Viola is the upper part of the guitar (bass strings) and Violin is the lower part of the guitar?

It’s too bad the viola is the only string instrument where the body size varies so much and produces such different sound. The larger ones definitely sound more resonant whereas the smaller ones generally have more of that nasally tone. For an instrument that is mainly there to be played in an ensemble, the larger ones that not everyone can play are definitely better for enhancing ensemble. I hope one day they can figure out a truly proven way to increase resonance in a universally playable size.

I'm REALLY pleased that you saw the video where Eddy and Brett were the ones who were the butt of the jokes regarding violists. In early August this year, I happened to come across the original video you made three years ago on the subject of violists being constantly picked on by them and felt compelled to write to them on your behalf, only in the hopes of getting them to lay off violists in general. NEVER in ANY amount of time did I expect them to make a video in response to what I said, and was COMPLETELY BLOWN AWAY by it!!!! They REALLY DO come across as two EXTREMELY DECENT blokes. My email, which I wrote to the team at TwoSet Apparel, was as follows: Hi Everyone, I have literally just spotted a video on KZbin that was made three years ago with regards to the amount of bullying violists receive, and I honestly believe that a MASSIVE amount of it has been escalated by Eddy and Brett. As MUCH as I love them both and will ALWAYS be EXTREMELY GRATEFUL for the amount they have taught me, it MUST be said that I find that their apology on this topic was TOTALLY INSINCERE, ESPECIALLY when you take into account the fact that they still make as many derogatory remarks today, if not more. As two people who have been on the receiving end of both bullying and discrimination, I would have thought it would have made them more aware of people's feelings. A joke is a joke, but they have carried things FAR TOO FAR. As Eddy said on the video the pair of them made on racism, "That's not cool." Could you please do me a favour and forward a copy of this email to them, as I would REALLY like them to be able to read what I have said in person.
